They do Djent, and with enough player skill they will even sound pretty Thall

Are these suitable for a drop A/D tuning, or are they not thick enough? I know they'll rattle a little bit, but I don't want the amp to pick it up.

Is the 18 (G string) gauge string plain steel, or is it wound in this set?

I just checked my 7-string guitar and no, it is not wound. The next string, the 28, is wound, as are the other sizes above it. Hope it helps.

Will these strings fit my 27" scale baritone 7 string?

They did NOT fit my 27" scale Agile. The low B string just barely reached the tuning peg.
