Perfect
Worked perfectly with my 3440x1440 ultramodern monitor.I don't do anything too demanding but even so meant I could use my works laptop with my monitor.

Doesn't work with Oculus Rift S.
Does ***NOT*** work with Oculus Rift S. Trust me, I learnt the hard way. If you want to use Oculus Rift S with DisplayPort over USB-C you will need one that explicitly says 8k@60hz or DisplayPort 1.4, otherwise when you plug in the cable it will just never show up on the Oculus app.

Not 100% compatible with M1 (Apple Silicon) Macs
Although this product was advised as being compatible with MacBooks, there are some compatibility issues with the new M1 (Apple Silicon) Macs. Often the monitor would not display anything and it requires re-connecting or even restarting the computer. The same monitor works fine when connected via HDMI.Right now I would not recommend purchasing this adapter if you have a M1 mac, until it is fully tested.

amazing customer service, amazing product
i mistakenly bought this instead of the usb c to hdmi which was entirely my fault but i decided to contact the plugable email support to hopefully make an exchange or something like that. i was surprised to receive a response within 2 or so hours telling me that they would send the one i needed for free and that i could keep the accidentally purchased item aswell which they didnt need to do, but they did. great customer service and great quality product. the cable part that connects the usb c connecter is very flexible. will be buying more products from this company!

Works well at displaying graphics; a bit worried about longevity
This arrived and it seems to work fine displaying 1440p via Displayport. I do have two concerns with it -a) The plug is very tightb) The flat ribbon cable between the plug and the display socket doesn't feel very strong. They'd have done better with some sort of braided cable with strain relief.Yes it works well. I would recommend it for a fixed computer install, or for a location where it isn't plugged and unplugged very often. I'd think twice if it's for a laptop that has to move around a lot.Edit: 1 month later: it broke. Returned
