In the photo of my review, you will see it installed on a 2019 F150 on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Super easy to do if you have ever pulled trim pieces on your car. The remote control installs on the back side and there is a small threaded washer that holds it snug on the other side. Then the knob just pops on and completely hides the washer. I’ve since plugged it into my LC2i instead of my amp. The knob doesn’t have much variance however. A slight turn increases by incriments of 20% so precision isn’t possible in my experience. All in all it does the job. The flush mounting feature is what I went with and it looks great **Q: How is this device dissassembled for flush mounting? The instructions are unclear.** A: I did this my self so I can say it is easy. The knob removes easily and there is a locking collar below it. Remove the locking collar and you may mount it through a hole you drilled in a discreet location on your center console or dash. Reinstall the locking collar and press on the knob. My setup is very clean and sturdy. This controller is sturdily built so you can really tighten the locking collar down well so it wont ever move. My unit is mounted next to e brake in the center console and get hit occasionally. It has stayed locked in place for years now. Just make sure when you drill the hole to mount ot through you keep the tolerance tight. I had an audio install done on my dad's car, and that involved putting in an AudioControl LC7i. With the subs that I had installed for my dad, some songs just don't quite have the bass you would like, while at the same setting, other songs are just obnoxiously bass heavy.
