What More Do You Want?. . . Versatility. Comfort. Color. Design. Rugged construction. All of these features and more make this one of our most popular backpacks. You'll see it touring across Europe and hiking at Scout camp. You'll find it in the American backcountry as well as on the hunt. This is a great backpack.

Great Pack, Even Better Supplier
I wrote one review that ended up on the CampingMaxx feedback page. My old pack (similar to North Face Extreme 80) finally bit the dust just as I was packing for a 2+ week trip to remote portions of Nicaragua. I ordered this pack, and then realized that CampingMaxx was on the opposite coast from me........so I sent them an e-mail and they made a special shipment on Sunday morning to ensure that I got my pack in time. We all have our preferences in features for packs I suppose, but this has quickly become my 'best pack ever'. Granted, I didn't have to pack a tent or sleeping bag this time, but this seems to have equivalent room to my old pack while having nice features like room for my CamelBack bladder, easy access to side pockets and water bottles, etc. I appreciated the rain fly while walking through sketchy areas since it discouraged inquisitive fingers from helping me lighten my load. (I've lost stuff in the past) Perhaps other packs are bigger, but this will accommodate all the weight I wish to carry. Meanwhile, I've decided to shop first at CampingMaxx for future hiking purchases. Happy to recommend!!

Great pack
Good pack. Lots of room. Very sturdy. The ice pick clip is great if you have a modified handle like I do.

Awesome pack.
This pack has been filled to capacity and still sat comfortably on my back. This pack was priced just right, it is very durable with lots of room. the shoulder straps and waist belt are way more comfortable than i could have ever imagined. Also comes with rain fly, great buy, i would highly recommend this pack for someone on a budget.

It's a large backpack...
I had ordered this backpack and thought I'd need it for traveling through Africa for a few months. Here's what I saw: Less is more. But that's personal. As far as the backpack:Pros: A lot of space.Cons:Heavy - a 5.4lb starting weight is a lot by the time you get this full.Hard to fit a small tent in, was just a hair small to fit in my poles (granted, not the bag's fault, shoulda gotten a smaller tent.)Once packed full the exterior pockets are useless, too tight.Limited Security - not good for airports (especially for ones with high corruption). There is no way to secure the top with a lock, it's just two clips and a drawstring before everything is stolen. You can put all your valuables in the lower compartment, lock the outside and then lock the zippered flap on the inside which can create two compartments inside the bag.For me, I'm going to get something smaller, 50L, with better zippered, lockable compartments.

Great pack for the price
This pack for the price, was a worthy investment. This is my first pack and while I wanted to purchase something that looked like it would suit my purposes (multi-day hikes), I also didn't want to break the bank. So far on 3 multi-day (soon to be 4) trips it has performed well in my eyes. The bag is a little heavy compared to the more expensive ones I viewed at various stores but sometimes half the price of bags of similar capacity. There are many compression straps to help cinch down the pack. With the straps I am also able to get the pack nice and close to my back which helped offer an excellent center of gravity for me. The only issue I've had with the straps was the hip belt clip. On the second day of my first test hike with a full pack, the hip belt clip kept popping open which was both aggravating and dangerous at times since it would ruin my balance every time it would pop open. There was a small notch on the male side of the clip that prevented it from staying latched together. Not quite sure if it was something I did or came that way.The pack material itself has held up quite well so far and seems well made. I'e cinched it fairly tight and not seen any rips so far. The zippers have worked well and the only issue I've encountered was the sleeping bag pocket can be a little tricky to close completely when it's completely full with my large sleeping bag. Lot's of places to latch stuff on to the pack as well. I usually clip on some paracord, tripod, couple tools (hatchet and machete that fit a little awkwardly inside the main compartment), small flashlight, and if it looks like rain, a rain jacket without any issues. The mesh pockets on the sides are perfect for water bottles as well. Been able to fit quite a bit into the main compartment without having to use the expandable ~1000cu in part. So far I usually hike in with around 40lbs stuffed into this pack and had no major issues so far. The rain fly has worked quite well and covered the entire pack with stuff attached to the outside. It is bright orange which is a nice bonus if you're hiking in hunting season. The downsides to this pack (besides the weight I mentioned earlier) are minimal for the price in my opinion. The outside pockets while nice, are nearly inaccessible when the pack is cinched down tightly. I use the rain fly pouch on top as a pocket for things I need to get to without having to undo my straps. Water bottles are somewhat tricky to reach while on the trail, but my buddy has the same issue with his Kelty. I wish the very bottom of the back was made of some kind of water proof material. I've had to make sure where I put my pack down so it doesn't soak up moisture and mud. That's all I can think of at the moment in terms of problems with this pack.At 5'10", 200lbs, this pack fit well at the highest setting on the adjustable shoulder straps. If I wear the pack properly, I've had few incidents where the straps would loosen extensively. Overall I would recommend this to someone getting into hiking or someone who is looking to buy a pack and not break the bank. Hope this is helpful!Peace.
