Halloween Zombie Belle Costume (Kids)

My seven year old daughter just loves playing dress up-especially now that she can incorporate her little sister. The girls will flit about the room donning various costumes, wigs, and other adornments while doing their "makeup," and pretend playing. It is actually quite cute! I will pick up new and different costumes and dress-up items for them as I see ones I know they would like. Since the older girl has a love for the monster-type dolls, and their related garb (and I must admit I have a small obsession with zombie flair myself, lol), I thought this would be a great new option for their collection.When this arrived my daughter lost it! She was so thrilled and quickly asked to try it on. I mean, she just got home from school and ran into her room with the package to see how it looked on her! Girls, lol. The costume was true to size (a rarity, all told, as usually sizes differ from one seller to another, and typically on the smaller side for us). It fit her perfectly. The back close is comprised of several verticle velcro patches-easy peasy.One thing I noted almost immediately is how nicely the skirt part flares out-often times the photos show the dresses to be very puffy, but when opened, they are just flat and will require some type of undergarment (like a tutu) to give that fluffy appearance. This costume flares out nicely.The coloring is nice and almost has a glittery feel to it, and the length is good-not too short. This is a costume I would allow her to wear out on Halloween without feeling like she was under dressed or, for lack of a better term, "sl*tty looking." lol.The skull accent is quite cool, a nice focal-point touch. And there is a bow-tie piece at the top-sewn in, not detachable, so that is also cool. I know having separate parts can be disastrous as my kids tend to misplace everything.The only minor complaint my daughter had (and this isn't really specific to this costume, she tends to have this issue with most costumes), is that it was a bit itchy after she wore it for the first few minute. She opted to throw a shirt on underneath the dress to keep the "scratchy" material, as she calls it, off of her direct skin. My three year old did not have this issue, she was just happy to be wearing the dress. Lol. Also, keep in mind, you may need to find an alternate way to wash to keep the material from losing its shiny affect.Very cool costume, especially if accessorized with tights, cute shoes, and hair & makeup; and at a very reasonable price point.*I did receive this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

My 7 year old daughter and 4 year old niece love dressing up. When I saw this costume, I HAD to have it!I am not going to lie, I thought for sure this costume would be cheaply made and rip the first time it was worn, but I was way wrong!The detail and quality of the material on this costume honestly blew me away, I love how it looks and it is beautiful.The colors are so vivid and stand out and make the costume POP!My favorite thing about this costume is the skull, it makes the costume look really wicked but yet awesome!This zombie belle costume would be great to play around the house in or even better Halloween costume.My only complaint on this is that there were no size selections, I guess it a one size fits all type thing. I love getting my daughter dress up clothes. She does not play with them as much as I thought she would, but she still has a nice collection of Disney Princess themed costumes nonetheless! I am a huge fan of post apocalyptic anything, including zombies, so when I found this, I absolutely had to get it for her! I asked her first to make sure she liked it though, since she changes her mind fairly often about whether or not she likes Zombies!I will be honest and say I expected this dress to be a low quality Halloween costume. I am pleasantly surprised to say that it is NOT! It really does look as pictured too and comes with the choker. The dress is made of fabric that is black, pink, red and gold. The pink is made to look like it is faded, which I thought was a nice touch. It is so convincing that I actually thought the choker had been made of the wrong material until I dropped it on the skirt and it matched colors. The material is a little thicker than a normal costume. It is shiny and kind of slippery feeling. The stitching for the dress is really great. The gems and skull are sewed on well. The skull actually has blunt spikes poking up out of the forehead and the teeth are angles outward. The skull on ours is sewn on slightly crooked but aside from that, I do not see any flaws. The yellow fabric does pick pretty easily though. My daughter brushed against a sharp table edge and it now has three nice lines running through it. However, I do not feel this is due to low quality fabric.The main thing that has me completely sold on loving this dress is the SKIRT! I am used to buying costumes where the model has a petticoat on under the dress and you do not know the skirt is totally flat until you put it on your child (or yourself if you wear dresses too). This dress actually has FIVE layers of skirt. A red top layer which is a half open, a pink layer, a yellow layer, all of which are black on the back, then a black netted layer and another black layer made of thick, heavy material that is almost like canvas. My daughter promises it does not itch or rub against her skin, so I am loving it.I was a little concerned about the size since this seems to be one of those “one size” outfits. My daughter is 5, wears a 5T/extra small in kids’, is about 3 foot 8, 37 pounds and this fits her perfectly. I am not sure if it would fit a bigger girl though.Overall, this costume is really great aside from the yellow picking. It is fun, different and good quality for a costume. I am totally thrilled with it as a parent buying a costume and a Zombie lover buying something Zombie themed.I received this costume at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This costume went above my expectations. It looks so much cuter in person than the pictures do. I purchased this for my granddaughter who is 4 y.o. She loves it and wore it all day after she first received it. It is made well. I haven't seen any loose threads. The design is so creative and thought out. We do call it her pirate dress vs zombie, but it would work for either. It fits her nicely. This would be a great gift for any young girl. Very pleased with this purchase.
