Very funny, but what was the point?
The story arc presented in volume 5 was no where present in this volume. Instead we get a bunch of random side quests with no real connection to each other. The first part is just a build up for Angel: Only Human. The next part is a crazy Drusilla story that confused the hell out of me. The last 2 do share one thing in common and that is the movie adaption of the first 4 volumes. One being just a quick scene from it at a comic con and the final short story was the final act of the movie. None of these move the arc forward started in volume 5. Only one out of the 4 have Angel in it. Even though I was disappointed that this stalled the story I am giving this 4 stars because it entertained me through out. The dialog was witty and had me busting a gut at some parts. The comic con was my favorite because it introduces us to the movie that stars nick cage as Angel, Hurly as gun and Spike is Angel's female love interest. Also it brought back the device that turns you into what ever custume your dressed in. Spike's transformation is worth the price of this graphic novel alone. I thought the movie was really funny but by the end I could not help thinking "what was the point". In closing you should get this knowing that it's a collection of random short stories which are very funny but does not move the plot forward.

Return to form
After the extreme disaster that was Angel Volume 5, this is a welcome return to form. The book consists of 4 stories.1: Gunna and Illyria doing some soul searching--4 stars. The artworks leaves something to be desired in that it doesn't convey the story all the clearly. The writing is very well done, however.2: Drusilla (slightly before "the fall")--5 stars. Juliet Landau captures the character perfectly with her writing. The art is pretty good too. One of the two main highlights of this volume.3: Angel and Spike at a comic/sci-fi convention--5 stars. If you enjoy Spike making fun of Angel (with a twist in this story), you'll love this story. The artwork is pretty good, the writing is superb. In my opinion, the funniest Angel story since Smile Time.4: Last Angel in Hell (an extremely bastardized version of Angel's after the fall storyline as it might be revamped by Hollywood).--4 stars. Don't expect to see any of the regular gang here, as this is what Angel's story might look like after a team of idiotic Hollywood producers put their imprint on it. Pretty funny. For any discouraged after volume 5 (very understandable), rest assured that none of Armstrong's writing from that story line has any serious impact on this set.

Not my favorite volume
I have been reading the "Angel, After the Fall" series in the trade "paperback" format since they were first released. I have not read many comics in my life, and, other than Angel, have only read 1/2 dozen or so other series. I was a big fan of Angel on TV (or, more precisely, on DVD as I never watched it when it was on TV) and have enjoyed seeing the story continue through these issues.Unlike the other reviewer here, I really did not like this story arc. I found it rather boring, and did not appreciate the humor of the movie adaptation. I have preferred the earlier volumes as they are, in my opinion, a truer representation of the TV series. However, one thing that remains great is the hard-cover presentation of these issues. I have always loved the quality of the book, the paper, the printing, etc, and this is in line with all of its predecessors (with the exception of the second hard cover which was not nearly as nice as the rest have been).

Not as good as the prior books
I didn't like this book that much. The gunn and illyria section was ok, made me think the spin off might be worth it. The Drusilla storyline was excellent, the best of this book, unfortunately it was too short. The spike and angel at comic con was ok, not all that funny, and it was a retread of the buffy plot where the same exact thing happened. I also didn't find the movie storyline funny at all, and eventually wondered why I was reading it since it didn't have the characters I like or a plot that will matter in future stories. I didn't finish it. These angel books are just no where near as good as buffy season 8.

Entertaining
The comic con episode was my favorite. A refreshment after the not so great volume 5. Still waiting for them to get back on track with the story as volume 4 and 5 seem like filler.

Angel
Love continuation of television series...very good.

pretty good
Certainly not the worst of books after "After the Fall". It's a little bumpy at parts because of the inconsistent writing but the comic-con story makes up for it.

great follow on from angel's TV demise
Yet another strong storyline in graphic novel form that extends the story from the end of series 5, where the TV show left off. This is a great product and a must have collectable for any fan of Buffy or Angel.

Angel, Vol.6

It's all gone to Hell again
I feared this would happen. Volume 5: Aftermath was a good bookend to the "Hell moment" storyline of After The Fall, and it seemed to point to the future. This largely unnecessary volume just drags the storyline out for all that it's worth. Vampire metaphors come easy here, and it hardly even feels like cliché to say that the series editors have sucked out every last drop out of the After The Fall franchise. The good news - it starts off well enough, with an excellent Gunn storyline that sets up the equally excellent spin-off volume Only Human, and a suitably odd Drusilla story written by Juliet Landau herself. Five stars for these. But they make up less than half of this volume. The rest degenerates into farce as Angel and Spike visit a sci-fi convention and then for the remaining third of the book we get "the movie adaptation" of the Hell moment, with a Nicholas Cage lookalike spoofing Angel and spouting clichéd dialogue like he's possessed (and not by a demon, unless it's the demon of crap). I must be turning into the comic book guy from the Simpsons as words cannot express enough my ire for this stupid idea. After struggling my way through to the end of it I wanted to wash my brain out with industrial grade detergent. After The Fall is not famous enough to be spoofed, and whoever gave the go ahead for this self-indulgent rubbish owes me half my money back.I'm a fan of the series though, so I couldn't bring myself to actually review this volume without knowing that the next one would be better. Luckily it is, and as the wyrm has finally stopped eating its tail, so to speak, I at last brought myself to write this review - knowing that even if this volume is a major league rip off, there is hope for the series from the very next volume.

dommage
Ce n'est pas le meilleur de la série, on dirait que la dernière partie a été mise là pour atteindre le nombre de pages requis.
