These are the only chocolate chips that I use - they have a rich dark chocolate taste and are oversized which makes for a much tastier cookie. I've purchased at amazon previously and appreciated the fact that they are much lower priced than my local grocers but was concerned about them melting now that the weather is so warm. They came the day after ordering and were packed with a cold pack and foam protection. Perfect condition in 100 plus degree heat. I use 2-1/2 packs each time I make a batch of chocolate cookies, so buying 6 at a time is great. Could not be more grateful to amazon for the great price and the extra shipping care. Thank you.

Very good product and at lower price than specialty chocolates. For my daily "fix" I eat a handful of these chips. Ghirardelli 60% has the perfect balance of dark with just the right amount of sweet. The recipe on the package makes great candy, use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil and mix in a generous amount of pecan pieces. MY APOLOGIES, I was using the candy recipe on the 3 lb. package. I've purchased the larger packages until I ordered these smaller packages which have the recipe for "cookies". Go to Ghirardelli web site for the candy ingredients. It's simple---chips and oil. Just add nuts or dried fruit to your taste

I used these to make homemade chocolate truffles for Christmas. I bought two bundles and was able to make a huge amount of truffles, three different flavors including enough to have their own chocolate shell. The chocolate in this product is definitely superior to what you can get at your local grocery store and is more than likely the same price if not a little cheaper for the quantity you are buying. My father and he did a comparison taste test between these and the Tollhouse chocolate chips that we had on hand and found that these are definitely richer in taste and a little smoother as well. If you have a head for making treats, and you want to do something special for the holidays or that special someone, I highly recommend using this product as one of your ingredients.

Our only local grocery quit carrying this brand of chips recently. Me, I am a dark chocolate fan. Was was relieved to find them here on Amazon. Not only are they good in your standard chocolate chip cookies. They are great melted with some butter and used to coat frozen bananas on popsicle sticks. They can be melted into my fudge recipe, used in a homemade cheesecake. So many decadent options!

I have ordered these chocolate chips a few times now. One time they came slightly melted. We refrigerated them and then chopped up the globs of chocolate on this batch, and the cookies tasted and looked as good as ever. I received another order today in Los Angeles at 11:00 in the morning on a sunny front porch. The chips were well insulated and included two still partially frozen bricks of ice covered in a leakproof material. The chips were cold, and there was still ice in the box. The chips arrived on a day when the temperature is predicted to rise 99 degrees. These are the best baking chips I have tried, and Amazon has done a good job in figuring out how to send them.

The description states this is a bundle of six bags, I only received three.

This ended up being cheaper than buying them at Publix, and obviously easier since they just show up at your door. I had these delivered on a day with a high of around 88 degrees so I was concerned they would be melted by the time I got home from work to get them off the porch. However, Amazon packaged them with a cooler pack so they were perfectly fine and would have been fine for several more hours. Very impressed. As far as quality, these are the only chocolate chips I use to bake. They don't have the waxy flavor that lots of inferior chocolate does. Highly recommend.

At one time the large packages could be purchased through Sams but they quit carrying them so I decided to purchase 12, 10 oz. packages through Amazon. They were delivered via UPS on a VERY hot day when I was gone. When I opened the package all the chocolates had melted into a gooey mess! There was no cold paks to keep them cold...they just mailed them as is. I then called Amazon on this and they apologized that the packing department did not consider what happens to chocolates when mailed in very hot weather!! I was given a credit on my purchase and told I could do whatever I wanted with the melted chocolates. I did put them all in the freezer and now when I take them out, they need to be broken into small pieces. I would recommend that Amazon either refuse to mail perishables like this in the summer or provide packing that will keep them cold! In Amazon's favor I can say they were good about making good on this for me.
