In my picture, the hook on the far right (the one adhered to the stainless steel back-splash) is actually mounted sideways - which I'm sure the manufacturer would probably disapprove of - but in this particular case it works fine because the tiny brush it's holding is super lightweight and this was the only way I could think of to get that particular brush's oddly shaped fat little handle onto the hook and still have the brush lay flat against the wall - without trying to bend the hook (I don't think bending would work, it looks to me like the hook would break before it would bend).
