Before The Incal

This book seems better written then the Incal.

Brave New World gone mad without barriers. All with beautiful coloring and great character drawings. To be honest i would have suffered Suicide Alley. Cant waite to read and look at more!

I don't know about anyone else but, I have outgrown most of the super hero genre of comicbooks for something a little more adult. If you have like me then I recommend anything by Jodorowsky.

We learn about John Difool. The city he was born into. Where His gull Depoo came from. The graphic artwork really tells the story. You have to start with this book.

Great addition to the incal series. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of reading this before the Incal. this is a sequel that is a prequel. I know that sounds strange but you have to read this after The Incal.but do read it :) If you liked the Incal this a must read.

Not for the PG-13 or even the R crowd. this is truly X-rated, in that there are a lot of extreme and shocking images thrown into the story. this is no surprise from the producer of Sacred Mountain and El Toro. If weird wild and visionary if Dadaist sci-fi is your thing, you'll never see or read better. Even at its high price, I am very glad I bought it.

If you loved the Incal but wanted more character development to go with Moebius' art, this is the book for you. Jodorowsky is a wonderful story teller. He fleshes out John DiFool and expands upon the world of the Incal. More politics, more biting humor, more emotion. Read this and then reread The Incal---it will seem new.

A Edição chegou em perfeito estado, o acabamento do material é de excelente qualidade e por fim a história é muito envolvente e maluca (no bom sentido) adorei Before The Incal.

Finally the autochthon source for practically all science fiction fantasy media to come after it. Alejandro (director of el Topo and Holy Mountain) and Moebius’s (artist behind such classics as Heavy Metal and Alien) epic was long the secret well for comic book creators and filmmakers alike. Too often the English publication version would appear on shelves fragmented, censored, or prohibitively expensive. Now the series adapted from the ‘Greatesr Movie Never Made’ (see Jodorowsky’s Dune for more on that) is available in an affordable, high quality, unabridged format. If you love comics, if you love science fiction, if you love film, you must read Incal.
