Do I purchase a converter and this product?** A: I would say look for one that you can plug in directly, ours plugged right into the switch. **Q: Is this compatible with model YH-A290018-A?** A: Unless it looks exactly like like the one you have I would say no. But if you read the spec sheet it should tell you if it is. **Q: Is this compatible with a 10 pin male connection?** A: 2 **Q: The adapter that came standard with my chair was 25v 1a, is there a problem using this?** A: The adapter that I bought is 29 V 2 amp and is working fine. Thought I’d have to trash the recliner. This replacement is identical in every way and probably manufactured by the same company who made the original because the case and markings are the same.
