Beautiful piece, fits 20 Gallons well, seems like good quality
This driftwood is awesome. I received 1 large piece and 1 small piece. My last driftwood I got for my 20 gallon tank was over 6 years ago and was more similar to a large chunk of wood - it has not started to deteriorate to the point where it’s no longer recognizable in the tank. It was about time for some new driftwood as I strongly believe between the driftwood and the natural plant life/moss the levels of the water are naturally balanced to the point that my fish are thriving with minimal effort. When I received this driftwood the first thing I did was boil it for 5 hours to help release the tannins. To be honest the big piece is very root like and is kind of all over the place - even with a VERY large pot I had trouble fitting the entire thing. After boiling it I soaked it in one of those orange Home Depot buckets for 4 days - changing the water daily. Only then did I add the driftwood to my 20 gallon tank. It looks beautiful and the fish seem to love it. The shape is so unique and I was afraid at first that it may not fit as it is quite large but both the big and small piece fit perfectly in my 20 gallon tank. I am very pleased with this purchase. I purchased this for my 20 gallon freshwater tank - that has Guppies, Cory’s, one sucker fish, and snails.

Which is the "large" piece?
Received the pieces today. My largest piece was 10 inches long and gives me no height. There are many unnatural looking sawed edges. The description says one large piece and one small piece. I understand it says "sizes vary," but since I was anticipating something closer to 15", like it says in the discription, what I received was disappointing.

Not Good in a Humid Envronment
I got two of these in my order. One was smaller and one was larger. I planned to use them in a fiddler crab aquarium/habitat. The little one works well because it's mostly under water. I originally put the larger one up on the sand, out of the water, and within a week it started to grow fuzz. Mold? Maybe. The "crabitat" is humid inside the 50-gallon aquarium. If you're going to use this under water, you'll have to weigh it down somehow because it floats. In a humid environment, like mine, it will probably grow "fuzz" like mine did. I'm no longer using the larger piece, but I am using the smaller piece under water.

The pieces I received were almost the exact dimensions stated in listing. The larger one looks beautiful but the smaller one is basically just a T shaped stick. I do like how there was no need to boil or soak in order to achieve waterlog. The only problem I had was I wish the smaller one had a little more branches.

I like the way they look!
I like the way these look in my tank. I wouldn’t call them ‘large’ in the context of a 30 gallon tank, maybe medium? I got a little bit of a film around them even after having attempted to boil before placing in the tank, but I believe it wasn’t harmful. No problems with sinking to the bottom right away.

Whimsical looking ^_^
Beautiful looking pieces of root. They have a wonderful "tangling" effect and are a PERFECT size for our 40 Gallon Tank. Great price...local aquarium stores wanted $30 for 1 medium size one.

Nice Driftwood
Pretty nice, not the biggest pieces but would look good as a centerpiece in a ten gallon. I'm using it as accent pieces in my 20 gallon long. Didn't really have too many problems with tannins and sunk within a day. Biofilm is growing on it as my tank cycles but that is natural and will clear on its own in a few days.

Waste of money
When it first arrived, my husband was over the moon, but since being in the tank it’s grown mould and fungus, dispute being soaked before hand and several water changes. It is not safe to put in the tank with my fish.

The picture is representative of what I received, but ...
The picture is representative of what I received, but I've had problems with the smaller branch/twig.It was soaked for a few weeks along with other wood pieces, the water changed regularly, but since been in the tank it has developed a greyish slime/fungus. I've had it out and scrub and poured boiling water on it but it grew back in lest than 24 hours !.Theres no fish in the tank just plants.

Very pleased
I received two pieces of driftwood and both the small and large pieces are much better than the images shown. The large piece is perhaps not what I would have chosen if in a store but i am still very pleased, that's the risk you run when buying online. The small piece sent to me is phenomenal.I'm considering buying another lot to see what configurations I could put together!

Decent purchase
Decent wood at a decent price, you may not receive YOUR perfect idea for the shape and textures but beauty is in the eye of the beholder...A good buy, if you want the perfect piece of wood go to an aqua supplier and pick it your self but you'll probably pay more.

Good overall
Pretty good, when I placed it in my vivarium I noticed some small insects inside the wood. I tapped the larger pice on my desk and several small, white mite-looking insects fell out. Not sure what they are, but hoping washing under a hot tap will have killed most of them.
