Interesting product with even more interesting applications.
I’m still not quite sure what kind of magic is in this stuff, but it works—and it works really well. I was skeptical at first when someone recommended it to me as a moldable glue that dries into a durable, drillable rubber-like solid, but it absolutely lived up to the hype. I used Sugru to discreetly mount a forward-facing camera into the grille of a car. I sanded down the adhesion point to give it more grip, molded the Sugru into place to create a strong base, let it cure, and then used screws to attach the camera bracket. It’s holding up great so far and feels very secure. It’s definitely a strange but incredibly versatile product. Whether you’re doing creative DIY work or just need a strong, flexible adhesive solution, Sugru is worth a try. Just be sure to prep your surfaces properly—it makes all the difference! Only downside is there is not a lot of it in each of the packets so you might need to buy more than you would think.

Moldable in your hands, sticks perfectly, strong, easy to remove later, expire date is legit
#1 - They (really) expire, so watch the date. Once expired, they are partially cured in the package and will not fully cure when opened. This is important. I have used Sugru for many different repairs, enhancements, etc. The best thing it has done for me is allow me to attach my GoPro (the mount) to my motorcycle helmet or other curvy/irregular surfaces. Sugru molds how you need it, then cures fairly quickly in a day or two. It easily holds on to a GoPro, even in wind or getting knocked around - it won't accidentally come off. When you need to remove the Sugru, use a plastic scraper and it comes off in pieces, with some decent effort. But it doesn't damage the surface or stick so well that you need a jack hammer or knife to come off. It has perfect adhesion qualities for daily use but still removable without pulling a muscle or needing a razor blade. The creators really hit a home run on getting that part right. Impressed. Potential Uses: - GoPro mounting options, instead of an adhesive pad - put around a pencil to make it easier to hold for people with huge hands - desk sculptures - make a phone or pen holder for your desk - sticking something to a mostly smoothish surface (not a painted wall...it sticks VERY well when cured) - replace a missing keyboard button or a turnable knob on a radio or device - restore cable ends so the wires aren't hanging out Probably poor uses: - patch a hole in your oil pan - not chemical resistant - custom earplugs - it's only barely soft to the touch, still firm - furniture sliders - unless you are a 25 lb child - sticky tack for mounting things on the wall - your wall paint will probably come off with it - face mask - expensive for that much and would probably be heavy - making a spatula for cooking - I don't know.... someone should test this - patching concrete sidewalks - I don't think it would stick that well to concrete

Interesting novel material that seems to have many potential uses
When cured it is low in tensile strength, but it seems to adhere well to things that other adhesives won't. When I saw a description of the material I immediately thought of an automotive problem: The gasket on the glass moon roof of my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder had shrunk, leaving about a 3/8" gap into which water would pour during heavy rain. The gasket is made of neoprene rubber, and even the best duct tape will not stick to it. Sugru seems to have bonded well with both neoprene and glass, and I am pleased to report that I had no significant flooding in my SUV after today's rainstorms. The idea of an air-curing silicone that doesn't have volatile non-polar solvents or ammonia intrigues me. My only negatives so far are that the stuff has kind of a lumpy texture and doesn't seem to be moldable into a highly precise form, and it's not particularly strong. I think it has a lot of potential for repairing seals, and cushioning moving parts that are prone to colliding. It's rather pricey, and once you open a container you have to use it all at once. Planning is essential. Congratulations on the inventors for creating a truly novel material! I suggest marketing it for automotive purposes, as there are a lot of rubbery seals on motor vehicles. Thanks for the opportunity to try something new.

The glue I've been waiting for!
This stuff is just what I've been waiting for! It's easy to work with, and unlike standard glues, you can easily use it to fill in gaps. I used the first pack to fix a resin garden figurine and a pot handle. The frog prince figurine had fallen and broken its leg, and small shards were missing. I was able to fabricate the missing sections and stick the whole thing together. I had dropped the lid to an expensive Le Cruset stockpot, and the knob handle broke off. The screw holding the knob to the lid was stripped, and a piece of the knob had broken off. Again, the Sugru filled in the gaps and securely fastened the knob to the lid. I used a second pack to repair a couple of shoes. I have the 3rd pack in reserve, so next time some annoying breakage occurs, I'm ready! Update 8/22/16: I used the last package to glue the rear view mirror of my 1993 Toyota pickup back into the bracket. The original plastic housing had broken, and duct tape wasn't working. I set the mirror into the bracket very carefully, with perfect alignment, because I was afraid it would be stuck in one position forever. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Sugru repair is sufficiently flexible that I can actually adjust the mirror. Good stuff! I've gotta order more now, since the handle on my apple peeler/corer/slicer just snapped off. Pretty sure the Sugru will be able to fix it.

Sugru is awesome stuff. I've used it on a variety of ...
Sugru is awesome stuff. I've used it on a variety of projects but mostly on my Jeep. There are tons of things you can do with Sugru on a Jeep. For example, I replace the huge windshield bumpstops on my hood with small, perfectly formed plugs I made using Sugru. They look factory installed and MASSIVELY increase the awesome aerodynamics of the Jeep (ok, that last part was a joke -- a Jeep has the aerodynamic equivalence of a brick). One thing you must be aware of with Sugru. It has an expiration date. If the product you order is already expired, you must send it back to the seller immediately because I can guarantee it won't be any good when you go to use it. It will just crumble in your hands. Sugru comes out a little sticky and will leave a residue on your hands when you're molding it to whatever you want to fix or enhance. Just use paper towels and some Dawn dishwashing detergent and that will take it off your hands. The end result of your work will soon "set" and the moldable Play-doh material will become a semi-hardened rubber. It will still have some pliability but if you want to change how it looks, you'll either need to cut it with a knife or start over.

Amazing!
I must admit I was first hesitant on buy thing this product it sounded too good to be true, however after trying it, I must say that I am amazed. I just happened to hear about this product from a friend when I had mentioned to him that my wired headphones were starting to break, specifically the cable sheath was starting to crack, thus exposing the wires. I reinforced the cut with this stuff and within 24 hrs I was able to play my video games again without having to worry if the tear was going to worsen or finally break altogether; wires and all. I would like to mention some advice when you are applying the putty over and molding over the tear/gap make sure you smooth out any creases before it hardens, those creases caused by pinching it closed. May cause it to reopen. Again this was NOT a fault in the product but poor foresight on my part; learn from my mistake. But even if you do mess-up you can always carefully cut away the rubber and retry again.

Buyer Beware
Sugru works pretty well, but molding it to how you want it can be difficult. It does not stick well to most surfaces so you will find it easily comes off it as your try to shape it. Once it cures, it holds quite well. It is very rigid though, so if you want something flexible or soft, Sugru will not work. With that said, if you buy on Amazon beware. Sugru has an expiration date. When it expires, the mixture hardens and is completely unusable. Amazon does not seem to keep their stock well organized. I was recently sent a batch that had expired more than a year ago. None of it was usable.

Fixed the cracks in my hollow molded shoe soles
Bear with me on this story. About six years ago I bought a pair of women's leather oxfords called Clarity by Naturalizer. About 3 years ago, as the heels worn down, the man-made molded soles started to crack and expose the hollow insides. Grrrrr! I wasn't about to throw them away. I found a YouTube video about some guy making his own custom arch supports. He used 100% clear silicone caulk and a couple of drops of glycerin. The glycerin cures the silicone so the middle of it gets hard, too. Works like a charm. So I got the idea of pumping the heels of my shoe full of that stuff to help stabilize the sole. That worked great, but it didn't fix the visible, gaping cracks in the soles. I tried all kinds of glue and they didn't work. Over a year ago I bought some Sugru to fix my expensive Bose headphone cables that were getting quite a bit of wear and the wires were peaking through. It worked perfectly and over a year later there is is no sign of cracking or peeling. I thought maybe it would work for my shoe soles. I bought some more and troweled in into the cracks, smoothed it out as best as I could and let it cure for a couple of days. It was sorta like patching drywall. OMG! It worked. With all the force of my body pounding on hard surfaces while walking, it's holding up perfectly. And now that it has a few scuff marks on it like the rest of the sole, you can't even tell I had done any patching. This stuff is pure magic. I only gave it 4 stars for ease of use because it's quite sticky to work with. Also, only 4 stars for pricing. For such a little bit, it's not cheap and it does have a shelf life. Use it soon after you buy it. Thank you, Sugru, for saving my shoes.

Sugru Mouldable Glue
I bought Sugru mouldable glue (black, 3-pack) for £6.99 and it’s been really handy. It’s easy to use straight from the pack and sticks well to most things. I’ve used it to fix small items and it holds up nicely, even with water and changing temperatures. It feels durable once set, not brittle. It’s not perfect for every repair, but for quick fixes it does the job. Free delivery and returns with Prime was a nice bonus. Overall, a useful little product to keep around the house.
