can I upgrade the pump to a more powerful one before I buy it?

Can I use air pump and bubble snake at the same time or I have to use it alternately?

You use the air pump and the BubbleSnake together at the same time. The air pump connects to the BubbleSnake with the included hose, and is what pushes air through the BubbleSnake. :)

Do i have to use this with a 50 gal bucket? could i also use in the 5 gal bucket if i want to make smaller batches?

The diameter of the base is suited for larger size barrels. You can use it in any bucket it will fit in.
