Whomever wired (or, more accurately rewired) the place set the plaster depth boxes very deep. So deep that they had especially long screws (now old and corroded) that were barely a single turn on the thread. I come to replace switches and sockets with a shiny new chrome finish plate, but the fixing screws are way too short. These little gems are the solution! Solidly made, just screw the extender into the plaster depth box (adjusting the length as necessary) then the cover screws into the extender. A cheap and effective solution and useful to keep in your toolbox - just in case! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handy quick fix. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 May 2021* Used these blighters before, still think they are the best and only solution to poor workmanship of electricians who set plug sockets way to deep.
