Review: Rediscovering Modbus - This is an excellent tutorial of Modbus - and a great reference too! Before reading the book, I was experienced with using Modbus or thought so. When I had success getting devices to communicate, it was honestly more about luck. I had many more products, some PLCs and thermostats for example that no matter how much time invested, Modbus communication never worked. The book explains the structure of Modbus and small variances that can exist among product types. That solved my issues. Now everything Modbus is quickly implemented and is as simple to deploy as many have claimed. Mr. Rinaldi, how about a book about MQTT?
Review: Ok as long as you don’t expect to learn much more about Modbus than you probably already know. - Good information, but not much more than you’ll find with a 2 minute internet search. This book is over rated.

This is an excellent tutorial of Modbus - and a great reference too! Before reading the book, I was experienced with using Modbus or thought so.
