High School Musical Plug and Play TV Game

My 6-year-old daughter is a HSM fanatic so I bought her this being that she enjoys video games as well. The age recommendation on the package is 4+ which I believe is much too young. I would say the age range for this toy is 5-7; the games may be too easy for a child over the age of 7. However, the games require the child to be able to read or for Mom to read to them, especially in story mode.The graphics are rather poor and do not compare [in any way] to those of Playstation, Wii, and XBox (i.e. you can barely make out who is supposed to be who). Anyone who has purchased plug and play games before is aware of this and being that it's only $20, don't expect much. That being said, the sound isn't great either but a younger child won't mind. The device itself is attractive and features pictures of Gabriella and Troy.There are 4 different games to play. One is baseball though you would never know it; it's nothing like the actual game. It took her a little while to get the hang of it. Another game is somewhat similar to Diner Dash where the cast serves food to hungry customers; serve them fast or they get angry! The other game called "Story" my daughter played only for 2-3 minutes so I am not sure what this and the 4th game involves. The games she did play were very short so if each game does have "levels" there are not many.In fact, I don't know if I'll ever find out what the other games entail because she's only picked up the plug and play twice [since I purchased it a few weeks ago] and complains of how boring it is. She enjoyed the plug and play Littlest PetShop game but hated this much to my surprise, even though it's HSM.

Package was torn and the game doesn’t even work. Tried it on several TVs and still nothing. It turns on but nothing shows up on the tv screen.
