The picture on the TV is clear and the sound is fine as well
If you plan on purchasing this TV, please note that this is a very different TV than the 2015 model. This model does not support web browsing. The picture on the TV is clear and the sound is fine as well. I would not want a sound that is any different for my apartment. The set up was extremely easy. The TV works with my Comcast cable and remote. In fact, the remote began working automatically; I did not have to search for any codes online. The TV did not come with a paper user guide. The user guide is embedded as a selection in the menu of the TV. Notably, the user guide is not all inclusive. I had to search the internet to figure out how to uninstall an app. I am unable to use the Smartshare function as I have an iphone and iphones are not compatible with this function. I have attempted to connect an LG phone. The first time the connection worked for about 2 minutes and then the screen froze. The second and third time, the phone was unable to find the TV to connect to. The major drawback is the selection of apps available in the LG store. I do not use Amazon, Hulu or Vudu so I only downloaded the Neflix app (I did not experience any lagging with it). I looked through every other app in the store and no other apps interested me. The store has several apps for watching Bollywood movies and Asian news, which is fantastic for those with such interests; unfortunately, those types of channels do not interest me. I could bypass all of these "cons" by connecting my computer to the TV via an HDMI cable or hooking it up to a Roku or Apple TV, but at that point, there is no point in having a smart TV. The TV can be a great purchase for some, but I would make sure that it fits your wants and needs. Unfortunately, it does not fit mine. At the time of my purchase, there were only 3 reviews for the TV available online and information about the TV on the box itself or internet was quite limited.

Dumb T.V.
Unless the unit I received is defective, I have no idea how they can call this a smart T.V. Out of the box and from reading the specs, I was very excited about this television. My wife wanted a t.v. that didn't require have extra boxes and wires in order to watch content from streaming services, which in our case, are primarily Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime video.Getting the stands mounted and getting the television turned on was easy as it could be, but this is where the elation of owning a new electronic device ended. First, I tried to connect to our 5.0 ghz network which was recognized by the television but simply would not connect. The password was correct but I kept getting a message that said something along the lines of, "Network Connection Failed." So then I tried the 2.4 ghz network. After three tries, it finally connected. Phew, glad that's over. (I should note that my wireless connection, in the bedroom, verified by running speedtest.net on my laptop and phone, averages ~65 mps download speed.)Now I just need to download the streaming apps we will use. More problems. After trying to connect to download the Netflix app several times, I gave up and went on to try Hulu. Didn't work. Next I tried Amazon. Didn't work. Every time I would select one of these apps, I would get colorful spinning balls in the middle of the screen and those were only entertaining for a few seconds. At this point, I decided to change my strategy. "Maybe I need to connect to the LG app store, I thought [or whatever they call it]?" Nope. Kept getting the message "Cannot connect to LG App Store at this time." Back to Netflix...After a few more tries, I was able to download Netflix! It took about 20 minutes, but "Yay!" Then I was finally able to download Hulu (again, after a few tries)! Still no Amazon though. But here's the kicker. I turned off the t.v. to take a break--at this point I had been working on the t.v. for at least 1.5 hours--and came back to it about 30 minutes later to actually sign in to my Netflix and Hulu accounts. Guess what? When I click on the apps, they bring me back to the "Install Now" page for them. It's like turning off the t.v. erased the apps. ⊙﹏⊙ ఠ_ఠAt this point, since I was actually able to get to the Netflix page fairly successfully, I downloaded it again and signed in to my account. This process worked fairly quickly, and even though navigating my profile page on Netflix was VERY slow, I was able to play an episode of a show. It played just fine too... until I needed to adjust the volume. I found that when I would turn the volume up or down (after not having not adjusted anything for a few seconds), the show would freeze for a split second! Hahahaha! It was almost comical at this point.I decided it was best to turn off the television, forget about the 2+ hours I wasted trying to make the f'n thing work, and return it to Amazon. I bought this t.v. expecting a smooth and reliable streaming software like I have experienced with my Roku, but it ranks up there with some of the worst let downs I have had in terms of expectations and reality with technology. Trust me, you are better off buying a cheaper dumb t.v. and a Roku or Fire Stick over this crap until the improve the technology. My guess is the processor and the internal wifi antenna need some serious upgrading.

A good TV with some limitations.
The HD picture quality on this set is excellent. If that is all you are after, this TV is for you. It is a smart TV but is lacking in that department with no direct internet browser installed. It does however, have Netflix, Hulu and some other apps installed and ready to use. The smart TV menu system feels clunky but works well enough I guess. The WIFI function works well allowing you to connect to your home network with ease without any intermittent signal loss or slow down that I have noticed. There are only two HDMI inputs. This may be a problem for some as it was for me. With one HDMI port being used for cable/dish that only leaves you one more for blu ray, gaming sytems, PC/laptop connections etc.The remote is not great but does the job.Overall I give this set four stars because, for the money, it is still a good buy. Just consider some of its limitations before purchasing it. Another thing to consider is potential shipping damage. My TV arrived in the factory packaging with a baseball sized hole punched into one side of the box. Thankfully it was on the back side of the TV rather than on the screen side. I found no damage to the TV itself but this could have just as easily arrived destroyed had the hole been punched on the other side of the box.

5-stars
I expected the worst when I saw my order was being shipped from BC to Ontario by Purolator, but I was very surprised/pleased to receive it in perfect condition. Everything works and is as described.Sound is clear and loud (improved when I changed from Standard audio mode to Cinema). Picture quality is great, through the presets are all a little too dark for my taste. Setup is very straightforward. If you’re not mounting it, you will need a cross head screwdriver to install the base legs. I haven’t tinkered around with the Smart TV apps since I’ve connected a Chromecast. Remote control is a nice size and not big and clunky, comes with generic-brand batteries. Satisfied overall. Will update review if any issues happen.

Looks Great- Really Light weight.
Thank you Amazon.ca. After a bungled purchase of a poor quality Vizio that stopped working after only 4 months, Amazon replaced it with this TV. So far it looks great... and so so light.... No longer am i worried about my wall mounts not holding. Will post more after I've had it a few weeks.

Great, crisp image; sound needs help.
Easy set up, great picture. Rear directed sound from speakers set on the back side of the unit cause a distorted sound. There is enough of a delay in the echo effect that on news reports or talk shows the sound is out of sync with lip movements. A sound bar or auxiliary speakers are a necessity.

Great TV. I wish it had more HDMI out (only has 2). The bezel is noticeable. Smart TV but there isn't an app that allows you to browse the internet but you are able to screen share. Overall its good for the price!
