Great structure
I don’t worry that the bottle will slip out of my hand because of the shape and side texture. Holds 3 cups 8oz of liquid. No spillage from the cap.

Excellent!
I am a little ashamed to say that I order 4 more of these to add to our collection of 6 that we already had.... Some people may say that I have a problem of hoarding water bottles, I argue that I am just worried about dehydration! I own 6 of these and 4 of the original design. I really do love water bottles though. It maybe turning into a problem that will require an intervention at some point, but for now, I think it makes me an expert in the matter. So, here we go! What I love about these: The cup counter on the top of the lid is worth the cost of this bottle alone. If you are a person who hates drinking water, the twisting counter on top will help you hit your goal every day. There is something very accomplishing about clicking the dial over to 8 or 9. I also love the metal piece that secures the lid closed and keeps the button from being pressed by accident. It guarantees that it won't leak and in the 5 years I have owned these bottles, no one of them has spilled in a bag or purse. They will keep the water in. I also love that the opening of the body is wide enough to put ice in. There are a few bottles out there that can't handle the load dropped from a residential ice maker (half moon shaped). These cups have the perfect angle that doesn't jam or stop the ice up at all. One thing I can appreciate with the 2nd generation of this bottle is that they changed the shape so it now fits in a car cupholder a lot better. The first Gen ones don't quite fit right and it was the biggest complaint from my husband that they didn't fit in his F350. These things are a breeze to put in the dishwasher and don't retain a smell. I also like filling them up 1/3 of the way with water and freezing them to take camping. Wonderful product!

Our favorite water bottle
I have purchased 3 or 4 of these water bottles, and my son wanted a new one to take to college. We have tried many different types, but this one is a favorite. I like that it is BPA-free --- unlike many of the cheap give-away freebies that my kids have gotten over the years. Also, the texture on the bottle makes it easier to grip. The bottle is easy to clean. I put the lid on the top rack of the dishwasher and put the bottle in the bottom. I've never had a problem with cleaning them this way. The bottles will shatter if dropped forcefully, but in my experience, they do not break easily. We have one that started leaking over time, but for the most part, these do not leak. The lids do not break easily, either, which is a plus. We used to use a different brand but the lids were constantly breaking.

It works well and does not leak (if gaskets are kept in place)
Uninsulated (What! You expected insulation for this price?) plastic bottle which works well and does not leak (if both the o-ring gasket and the spout gasket are in place). At a 24 ounce capacity, it is light in weight and fits the hand and standard cup holders well. The only, minor complaints so far are 1) the instructions are in tiny print which cannot be read without a magnifying glass; 2) the instructions cover at least two Thermos models, this one with a "hard spout lid" and another with a "soft spout lid;" [see photo of instructions]3) the "locking ring" (which secures the lid closed) on the bottle I received was difficult to disengage from the clear plastic lip above the lid's push button. [see photo of the locking ring and lip] The issue with the locking ring was cured by using an emery board to file down the plastic lip to the point it permitted the locking ring to disengage and unlock the lid. All in all, I am pleased with the bottle and would buy it again.

Simple yet effective
Unlike a lot of people, I like a simple design without a straw that’s easy to drink from and cleans up beautifully. I don’t put it in a dishwasher, but it comes clean by hand very quickly. It’s not made to be an insulated water bottle but I buy a sleeve for it and it works just fine. I prefer the simplicity and the reasonable price over the other possible details. . BPA free works for me. One more important detail is that providing it’s closed properly, it does not leak

Nice big opening!
I practically collect water bottles since I prefer to drink from them, so I keep filled bottles in my fridge and at work. Normally I like metal bottles best since they stay cold longer and keep ice from melting, but this one is my favourite of all the plastic bottles I've ever used. I've been using this exact type of bottle for 10-15 years, and I have several of them. I mostly love the size of the opening; very few bottles have a mouth this large so it's great for exercising or any other situations where you just want to drink a lot and not have a narrow straw forcing you to take sips. This is also one of the only plastic bottles that never has a weird taste/smell to it when I first order it - it's really common for that to persist through multiple washes so I'm always glad not to have to deal with it for this type of bottle. Despite many, many years of almost daily use, I've never had one of these bottles break or become damaged. The lid is really durable and still works perfectly on my older ones, and the plastic is solid and doesn't seem to get scratched or scraped up at all. It's also a nice narrow size that's comfortable in the hand and fits in most cup holders.

The only water bottles I'll use.
I've been using these water bottles for years and won't use any other style. The pop-top allows for single-hand use, and the spout is large enough to clean (unlike those straws) while still small enough to drink from while on the move (unlike wide-mouthed bottles that you have to stand still to drink from). The only negative is that these bottles can break if dropped onto concrete. If the bottle doesn't shatter, sometimes the plastic tab that keeps it closed breaks. That's not the end of the world; it just means you have to use the metal lock loop to hold it shut. I wish Thermos would sell replacement lids because I've dropped quite a few over the years. Either that, or add some sort of protective rubber sleeve/strap to absorb the shock when dropped. Finally, these are dishwasher safe. All-in-all, I recommend this product.

Lost this and bought a replacement immediately.
Love this bottle. Originally purchased for use on my bike, I now use it everyday as well as while traveling. The locking, pop-open top is the stand out feature. No unscrewing to take a drink, the opening always stays clean, and it takes no time at all to lock/unlock.

Good water bottle
It works. It doesn't leak, and the mouthpiece is covered when not in use, which is what I was missing on my last one. Seems sturdy. I'm happy with it
