But I got recovered from a 7-8 year old back pain right when I finished reading the book ! Needless to say, I got to meet best doctors, chiropractors etc. and spent half a lakh rupees in diagnosis and therapy in Bangalore. I had to take two epidural steroid injections and stopped all heavy work, sports, and hope for a pain-free back. And all the time the solution was lying in a 300 rupees book !!! Guys, take my suggestion. Spend 300 rupees more considering it as a wastage (but still less than an orthopedic's visit, no ?) and read it. You may become the happy person again as I did ! Update after nearly 2 years since my first review: I am not a review-writer guy. But I am feeling quite spirited in acknowledging it once more - just because today I remembered this book once more. I continue to be pain free - it never came back ! This book is one of the best thing I have ever read ! My lifelong gratitude to Dr. Sarno... Sir, as someone has already said in amazom.com reviews, you should be given the Nobel prize. I’m also sure sometime in future your method will become mainstream and you will be recognized as the pioneer of the movement. Hängt wahrscheinlich auch damit zusammen, dass wir in Deutschland sehr doll an der Volkskrankheit Bandscheibenvorfall fest halten. Psychosomatische Krankheiten werden befürchtet wie die Pest, dass aber Millionen (darunter sportlich aktive durchtrainierte Menschen) an lang anhaltende Rückenschmerzen leiden kommt keinem schräg vor. Dr. Sarno zeigt, dass es auch andere Gründe für den Schmerzen geben kann, z.B. das TMS-Syndrom (Tension-Myoneural-Syndrom). Wie weit man diese Diagnose für sich selbst akzeptiert - egal ob als Patient oder Arzt - ist jedermanns eigene Entscheidung.
