Nintendo NES to Famicom Game Converter Adapter 72 to 60 pins

This works amazing! I used this for my Retron 5 because the NES pins on the Retron became bent and broke, but using this and the Famicon port on it, I was able to play my NES collection again. The pins on this little adapter are top notch, I have not had any bent pins yet, and I have been going on a marathon through several games with it.*CAUTION*The adapter grips games great, very solid. With that being said, when you remove a game from the adapter, PULL STRAIGHT OUT. I pulled my copy of Tiny Toon Adventures at an angle to create leverage, and ended up cracking a side piece of my game. It still works, but if someone is a collector, this could damage the value quite a bit.

After the NES slot on my RetroN 5 stopped working, I read about this adapter as a possible solution (ie using the Famicom slot as the NES slot). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for that purpose. While the adapter plugs into the Famicom slot fine, it won’t read NES games. You’ll get the “Unknown Cart” error and the game will fail to play or the “Failed to Dump ROM” error.So while this adapter may be fine for its intended purpose, it did not work on the RetroN 5 as at least one other reviewer claimed.

You gotta mod this thing for max compatibility. Also shielding it helps a lot. Someone should remake this PCB with fixes in place.

shield and ground this thing when you get it, keep your solder neat, and marvel at the tower of gaming in front of you. Does not work with MMC5 without mods

Works as intended. No problems thus far, used it for the Retrofreak.

Being the person who only has a Famicom, I still wanted my fair share of NES games to play. I'm happy to say that this converter gets the job done. As far as I know, this thing is capable of playing most of the NES games that I have. I'm sure there are others that may not work, but for now it's safe to assume that this thing will play most of them.If you have a famicom and want to play NES games, definitely get this.

It grips the games so hard is be too afraid to use multiple times. Also used it on my Retro Freak and it didn't recognize a lot of games even though they were just cleaned

WORKED PERFECTLY IN MY RETRO FREAK CONSOLE. NOW I CAN PLAY NES GAMES IN THE FAMCOM SLOT. REMEMBER THIS DEVICE ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY A USA BASED NES GAME IN A FAMCOM CONSOLE.
