Each click cycles the Kaidaer through the following THREE states, in sequence:Use the internal FM RadioUse the Line-In sourceUse a USB source, as explained nextUSB Sources----------------There are three receiving slots clustered together:miniUSB slot (marked as `USB 5V')microSD slotfull size USB slotthe microSD slot is just above the full size USB slot and either can receive a memory stick/card that contains mp3 files (in their ROOT directories, NOT in a custom folder.) If a memory stick is inserted into the full size USB slot AND a card is inserted into the microSD slot, only the memory stick will be recognized. It does all that it says it would do. Plays loudly, worked with my ipod, plays music (sd card) etc. This second one .....omg....it didnt come with the instruction booklet and when we tried to use my ipod with it it didnt work.....turns out the cable that came with it was bad. My nephew is convinced that he got a "dud" player. Im embarrased....I had to give him my cable. He also likes to use it as a toy. It's holding up just fine. We use the mini sd card to put music on it which is easy. The only thing that is a nuisance is volume control. I turn it down to as quiet as it can go (bedtime right) but since you just hold down one of the buttons it sometimes turns all the way off and then it's a little game getting it to the right volume. And it always turns on full volume.
