NEMA L14-20 Connector 125/250V by POWERTRONICS CONNECTIONS

Needed to make a gender changer so a 240v power cord with a male end could be used with a splitter (Coleman Cable 01924 3-Foot Generator Power Cord Adapter, 12/4 Splitter Y Adapter, L14-20P to (2) 12/3 Lighted 5-20R) for 120v power.Two of these L14-20 female and three feet of 10-4 cable from Home Depot ($6) did it for a lot less than anywhere else. In fact - I couldn't find a female-female gender changer cord anywhere. Amazon the the rescue - at a price far less than anyone else.

I had to do some modification with an electronics screw driver to bend one of the contacts into the right position to accept the mating plug in to this. It works fine now, does what I need. QA on this from the OEM is lacking, it wasn't a supplier issue.

Great product for the price. I like this much better than the more expensive ones because of the way it clamps the cord.

I am putting together a wind/solar battery backup system to use instead of a gasoline generator backup. So, I have to find parts like this to make my own cables cheaper than buying them assembled. Awesome deal.

Quality item at a good price; plug easily fit into it's male counterpart.

I was a bit hesitant since this was not the popular manufacture but really the plug is very well constructed and the quality is quite nice.
