1/2 Inch Irrigation Venturi Fertilizer Kit Mixer Injectors Tube Switch Filter

I purchased a similar injector from an irrigation supply company. I had to set up PVC valves to control when the fertilizer would be injected. I replaced it with this one from amazon and it includes the red valve that turns off and on the fertilizer, so those valves are no longer necessary. It also includes a filter which is a huge bonus as they are hard to find separately. It works great! Just make sure you have enough sprinklers/valves on so that the suction can pull the fertilizer.

In photos, input comes from right via standard garden hose with standard male end.(Don't be confused when I say the hose is 3/4 ID hose.)2. Specialty connector accepts standard male garden hose, converts to 3/4 mpt.3. Any pvc supplier or hdlowe should have the rest of the parts. Connect to optional ball valve, reduce to 1/2, attach Actopus 1/2*, increase back to 3/4, and attach standard female end of garden hose.*Suggestion: I believe the Actopus uses slightly different International pipe threads so I used the thicker pink plumbing tape on both ends of the Actopus and have no leaks. The contents of the 5 gallon bucket was going down fast on Actopus setting of 5. Now I need to find a way to calibrate, and I plan to wire this to the bucket handle on top of bucket.I did lose the Venturi suction once, when the output of garden hose end was restricted too much. Went to full open hose output, turned supply water off and on a couple of times using the ball valve, and it started again. Then I restricted output again but not as much.

The product needs a good amount of flow to allow for suction. My system has about 120, 1 GPH emitters and does not have enough flow to generate the Venturi effect to work. Does work with greater flow like for lawn irrigation.

Would not work on drip tape. I tried it with full water flow and it worked, but would not work on drip tape. Was not very cheap once I had to purchase the fitting to use it,

I have a Rain Bird drip system for my veggie garden. I have about 100 feet of blank tubing that then goes into about 10 runs of 25 foot emitter tubing. Fairly flat ground. The suction was enough to fill the tube of the Venturi but it never was enough to push it out to the garden.I bought adapters based on other reviews to go from the 3/4 inch garden hose down to the 1/2 inch Venturi and then back up, then I had to buy a hose coupler to go back to a garden hose male so I could hook my irrigation system to it.I had a 5 gallon bucket, tried it at different heights to see if the gravity affects it, nothing. My system has an auto timer, I tried to install both before and after that, nothing. It has a back-flow preventer, I installed before and after that, nothing. It has a 25 psi pressure regulator, I installed before and after that, only filled the Venturi tubing. It wouldn't move water at all until after the pressure regulator, which is the last piece before the 1/2 inch tubing that goes out to the garden but it never pushed the fertilizer out.I even tried installing to a regular garden hose with a watering wand at the end, nothing. I turned the knob both ways and all ways in the middle. I tried installing it backward in case it was put together wrong, still nothing. I have no idea what's wrong as I have done every troubleshooting step I could find, I've done hours of research, and watching so many videos. Unfortunately, all the videos and most of the reviews here have complicated designs using PVC pipes and full size hoses on both ends. I don't understand why I can't make it work going from the hose bib to my 1/2 inch irrigation system without having to be a plumber.
