I bought the wrong kit so I had to return it, however I was impressed at the quality and value given how cheap it is. Better than your average cheap kit at common hardware stores.

Great for just a do it yourself kit.

The box had two descriptions of the product. The white bar coded label show that it is a 40-piece metric box. Interesting there a new label put on the top of it of a previous label; which made this very confusing. On the top label of box itself it said this was a "SAE tap & die set". Further confusion. When you look at the pieces inside the box, they are metric. However, we had to pause and look carefully to ensure it was in fact metric, which is what we ordered. Best reasoning behind this confusion is the manufacturer sells both SAE and Metric so it is a one-size fits all -- cheaper packaging. By the way, this was made in China.

Purchased this as a gift for my brother-in-law , it came beautifully packaged , but most importantly This little set saved his 2006 Tundra tailgate support cable, that was broken for quite some timeThe bolt and threaded holes were totally stripped, and this set threaded them back to perfect condition for him! Would definitely buy these again, For myself and/or as another gift.Solid, strong and durable build.. Amazing Price!

I’m not a mechanic but, I’ve worked on plenty of cars, maintenance and repairs, I can’t speak to the durability of this set, I purchased it to tap a metal handrail post, I took my time and didn’t push my luck, the matching bit&tap took the guesswork out of the project, worked well, the teeth and bits are sharp and didn’t show any signs of excessive wear, was well worth the 20 dollars.

The set itself offers decent enough quality for the price point. Don't expect a set that will last a lifetime and can tap even the hardest steels. This is not it. But those you would pay a hell of a lot more for those.My biggest issue, however, is that I received two M7 taps with the same TPI, instead of a normal and a fine; both types I quite often use.I considered returning the set, but as I bought it on sale it's more expensive to reorder the unit than to just buy the missing tap separately.A bit more QA could have prevented that.
