Classic Casio is still the Best!
I have been using this particular watch for a few months without difficulty. I have been using this particular model of Casio watch for about 35 years (eh gads!). It is really a great design. Full of functionality and very easy to use. The setup is quite intuitive, although decades of use may help. I actually stopped using this watch for over a decade as I switched to more advanced smart devices, cell phones, PDAs, i-things. But then I stopped updating my online calendar and started missing appointments and started burning things on the stove and I remembered how great this phone was for many years. I love the 5 alarms which I can set days in advance to remind me of appointments. I love the fact that it stores 30 phone numbers exactly as I input them. I don't have to worry about my various synching apps and backup apps and social media apps synching which leave my online contacts a complete messy morass of people I don't remember and outdated addresses that get restored every time I delete them. I have over secured my contacts and can no longer unwind all the various synchings and apps and backups and connecting to social media features so that my contacts have become unusable and only lead to my calling people I haven't talked to for a decade or two, old bosses who I wish I had never met and other random people who wonder what the hell I am doing dialing their numbers and hanging up on them. Also, the countdown timer works excellently. I can use it for cooking and for watering. So I don't have to worry about burning down the kitchen or racking up huge water use fines in this drought stricken state. The stopwatch is also excellent. I can use it for so many things that you don't need to know about. When I was younger, this was how I timed my miles as it has a split function - now I don't even recall what that means - miles? running? huh? I feel like I may be forgetting some functionality. Did I mention the light? The dual time zone feature? The date? I should have. These are all nice to have features. I also like knowing exactly what time it is and not having to read the watch hands. The day of the week is in large letters - so great for a quick glance. In fact, I can read the time without my cheaters. I love this watch. I loved it in the 80's and 90's and I love it once again in 2014. Thank you Casio for keeping a classic!

Fantastic Watch
I've had my last Casio watch for eight years, and it still keeps perfect time. But, when I found this Databank Casio watch for $17, I decided to get a new one to replace my old one. I would like to say that this watch does everything that a watch should do. It keeps time, has dual time features, has the option of 5 alarms, has both a timer and a stop watch, and you can keep up to 30 contact phone numbers on it. For the price that it is, how can you go wrong? Another thing I like about this watch is that the face is big enough so that you can see the time and day clearly, but it's not so big that you hit it against things (I work in an office with a lot of stuff piled around). Also, note that since this is a man's watch it may or may not look good around a woman's wrist. I usually like wearing men's watches because it has thicker bands that I like. Although, I'm a little bigger than most women, so it looks great around my wrist, but if you are a petite woman, like my sister, it might look clunky around your wrist. Overall, it's a great watch, and I look forward to having it as long as my last Casio watch, if not longer.

Good versatile watch but alarm too soft for these old ears
I had this model before and it quit after about four years. I liked it so I ordered the same model as a replacement. Unfortunately, my hearing has gone downhill and the alarm signal is now too faint for me so I'll need a watch with a vibrating alarm . However, for those with good hearing, this watch deserves careful consideration. It is compact and lightweight, has a databank, which I don't use, a second time zone, four alarms plus an hourly beep, a stopwatch, and a countdown timer. There's also a choice of 13 languages. The watch has a claimed water resistance of 50 meters, which I haven't tested, along with Casio's not-to-be-believed "10-year battery." I changed batteries every two years or so and I suppose Casio has some fine print about how often (or seldom) you can use the alarm and illumination features to reach the promised 10 years, but I think I gave it average use. One slight downside: the countdown timer can be set only in one-minute intervals, meaning you can't time something at, say, 3 and 1/2 minutes, whereas most modern digital watches have a one-second countdown. All in all, it's a very good value for the price and, if you're not seeking a watch that will tell you when the fish are biting, etc. -- and if you can still hear a pin drop -- this watch might be just the ticket. Or, rather, ticker.

Great watch, great price
I was looking for a not so flashy casual watch and happen to come across this one. I got this watch in 2010 and felt like writing a review now because I have been very satisfied with this watch. Nothing on this watch has broken and it still looks the same as when I bought it new. I've wore it during work sometimes and it's handled the rough abuse just fine. It's slammed against walls, metal, and glass and only has a small dent or two to show for it's abuse. The features I like about this watch is that it shows the Day, Hour (in 12hr or 24hr), the year, and the month and date all in one screen. It has all the information ready for me at the glance of my watch, something other watches in this price range don't. It also has other great features like alarms, stop watch, back-light (it only lights for 2 seconds though) and others that I don't really use but might be in the description of the page. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a durable, reliable, and economical watch.

Nice looking watch, 10 year battery, big numbers, definitely a good purchase
I have used Casio watches since I was a child, all of the models I have tried are of exceptional quality and very sturdy. I had an old F-91W which is more than 10 years old, so I decided to try a new one (I will still use my old watch for some occasions as it is still functioning perfectly and it only has some scratches in the face). I will use my databank for casual dressing. It is not a watch to stand out, but it sports a very conservative and functional design which is well suited to a geek like me (I am an IT engineer). The watch size is perfect for me, numbers and letters are big and easy to read. This watch is hooked up with a lot of useful functions like light, stop watch, count down, dual time for travelers, 5 different alarms, on-screen date including day and year and the more distinguishing feature of this watch: the databank function, that lets you store up to 30 names and numbers in the watch. Definitely a great buy for everyone. 5 stars!

Okay watch
This is a pretty decent watch with a couple of minor issues. I was looking for a large display that I could read without reading glasses. It was extremely difficult to tell online exactly what the display size would be, and it turned out to be smaller than I expected. My eye strength varies a little throughout the day, and at good times I am able to read the time well without glasses. Typically I can make it out well enough, sometimes I can't. I was replacing a rather big & bulky watch which I had gotten used to. This one is pretty slim & sleek, and I think I would prefer larger. That is a matter of taste. More problematic is the standard/military time setting. I've had watches for years which allow you to choose between 12-hour and 24-hour display options, but that choice is part of the time setting procedure and you have to go through a series of steps to make the change. This watch has 1 button that you push 1 time to toggle the setting. It makes for a very convenient setting change, but I don't imagine anyone wants to change this setting on any kind of a regular basis. The problem is that just bumping the button inadvertently changes the setting. Several times a week I look at my watch and it is showing me a 24-hour display which I don't want! It's just a quick button push to fix it, but really!?! Finally, since changing from DST to standard time, once or twice a week the watch seems to reset itself to DST and the time is off by an hour. This is quite frustrating and I can't figure out why. It can't be from bumping the buttons, since you have to go through a very specific sequence of pressing several different buttons to make this change, and the minutes and date would change before the hour but they have never been incorrect. Very puzzling.

Amazing watch
This watch is simply incredible. I absolutely love the fact that it is thin and has a low profile. The watch does not look flashy, which for me is a plus. It has 5 different alarms which can be set independently. It is waterproof down to 50 meters which means that you don't have to worry about getting it wet. As a nurse I really appreciate the countdown timer and multiple alarms and I love the databank to store things like numbers I need at work. The watch has a 10 year battery and the last watch I had, which was the same model, is still ticking after 6 years of heavy use. The actual strap failed before the battery. The watch is very rugged and quite scratch resistant. I have banged it many times and the screen is undamaged. This is not a fancy watch, it is a workhorse. It does not have atomic time and no it's not solar, but for a watch that is anywhere from 17 to 30 dollars this is an amazing watch. Buy this watch. You will not regret it.

Tremendous watch for the price
I've owned Casio watches over the years and found this one to be equally proficient. For under $20 you get a watch that keeps very very accurate time ( gains about 8 seconds / month as verified by the Atomic Clock in Fort Collins, Co.). This watch allows one to store phone numbers and other data in it's data storage pages. Viewing is a little cryptic as the watch utilizes three different sizes of LCD's on the watch face. The lowest LCD's on the watch face are a little small and some may find it difficult to read. My only concern is the watch band. This watch as well as Casio's I've had in the past have what I view as an undurable resin band. My experience shows the band will last at most two years. A replacement band is one half the cost of a replacement watch. This is no Rolex, but it doesn't cost thousands of dollars and will keep just as good time.

Database puts it beyond a watch.
I have had the chromium version of this watch for many years which I find extremely useful for remembering telephone and other numbers. I often wear it when doing DIY and it is getting scratched so I thought the plastic one would be much more durable.
