Greenfield KS2 Bicycle Kickstand

They have done what so many other manufacturers can't seem to do. Make a good quality kickstand that actually does what it is supposed to do......hold a bike up. I've been through countless kickstands for my kids bikes and all were pieces of crap in one way or another. All failed to reliably hold the bike upright in a variety of conditions. This one does what its supposed to do. What a novel concept!!!!! Don't wait, don't do additional research. If you want an affordable product that actually holds a bike upright, but this one. Added points for easy to install and for made in the USA!

Not usually a big fan of kickstands on adult bicycles.....however I've mellowed in my old age. I recently installed these on 2 of my Trek hybrid bikes. They work great and don't detract from the looks of the bikes. They're reasonably priced and American made. Get some!

I was looking for a good quality kickstand to go on my newly purchased Trek 7.3FX (17.5in). After reading the reviews I decided to get the longer version of this product. The new kickstand looks great in glossy black. It is a high quality metal and feels like it can take alot of weight. My order also came with the rubber feet which helps give the stand some grip. The only issue I had was that it was slightly too long. I was easily able to cut down the length with a hacksaw to make it work better. I probably took off a little too much, but it still works great. Some advice. Make sure you only trim down a little bit at a time to avoid making it too short. But all together this is a great kickstand and will work great on your bike.

My 1995 Trek 820 mountain bike never came with a kickstand. For twenty years I'd lay the thing on the ground or rest it on a tree whenever I needed to get off. I've been riding a lot more lately and I got sick of not being able to get off the bike and stand it anywhere. My wife's Nishiki from 1992 had a kickstand. She'd get off her bike and she could stand it anywhere while I'm looking for a tree to rest it against. So dumb. I looked on Amazon for kickstands and there were all these weird looking plastic stands that mount further down near your tire. They were small and they didn't look very secure. Then I found a stand that is made by the same company that my wife's Nishiki bike has. It's the same darn thing. It mounts at the frame joint just like my wife's old bike. You just line up the top and bottom plate and screw it on tightly. Now I've got a really nice black kickstand that looks like it's always been part of the bike. It attached quickly and securely and it works like gangbusters. Now no matter where I am - on a trail, in a parking lot, on the side of the road, a quick kick down and I'm off the bike. Perfection. I like that the same company makes the same stand that came with a bike that is over 30 years old. It's kickstand engineering perfection. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? I can't believe it took me this long to get a kickstand. But now I have one and my bike is so much happier. I'm so much happier. Get this stand. Make sure it will fit on your bike, but get this stand once you know it will work. It's the grandpa of kickstands. Accept no substitutes. Kick it up.

I really like the build quality it's sturdy

Ordered the 305mm model, as I did not know the required length and wanted to have extra material to remove as opposed to it not being long enough. In the end, I could have gotten away with the 285mm version. Anyways, I ended up cutting this down to 280 after some measuring and estimating to factor in for the rubber foot I purchased separately (made by Greenfield for this model). One note: the diameter of the kickstand is consistent in any place you would reasonably cut it. So I installed the foot on this before cutting it down and it fit the same afterwards. There are lines to help with measurements and the necessary angled cut. This is soft aluminum, so with a mini-hacksaw the process was very simple. You do end up with some sharp edges if you have to shorten this, so I beveled the edges with a file and highly recommend this extra step for safety. Total time to cut down and bevel was probably 10 minutes. My bicycle has the plate for a kickstand brazed on, but given that the bolt is so long and it comes with the top plate, I chose to install as pictured using all parts. Installation is very easy; my socket wouldn't clear in such a cramped area, so an open ended 9/16 wrench was all I needed to put this on. Highly recommended.

Great value fit perfect.. had to cut off 1" simple

UPDATE; It broke off while putting it down about 4 inches from the end. I flicked it down as usual and whoops, it broke. Since it was great while it lasted I bought another one in silver to try my luck. After 3-4 weeks it looks like it has bent a bit. No big deal at the price. I hope it lasts because it works perfectly and for me mounting was super easy. This looks the same kickstand that came with my Jamis Boss Cruiser which lasted 4 years and the original was definitely made of a better quality metal.. Smooth operation, sturdy. I ordered the long one which I love as it holds my e bike a bit more vertically than the original. With additional weight, (motor, rack battery) this is preferable. The supplied bolt is very long so I used the top plate even though my bike doesn't require it. I also appreciate that the bolt is a hex not the Allen key like the oem kickstand because I have a cool bike tool kit that works on everything except the aforementioned bolt. VERY PLEASED. It has a precise mechanism that just feels like quality. No slip or play but also it's not oversprung . Perfect. Please cross your fingers for me that this one doesn't break.

サンダーで長さ調整が必要かなと思っておりましたが、あてがってみるとジャストフィットでした。 星5つ付けたいが、ボルトがかっこ悪いしボルトに緩み防止の為であろう、螺旋状にきざみがありそのまま使ったら上の固定具を削りまくる為、ヘックスボルトに変更しワッシャーをかませた。 良い意味でチープさがあり、MADE IN USA 素敵！ 装着前にクリーナーで一度アルミカスを取った方が良い。
