Seymour says "see ya later" to rust! Leaves it in the black.
Does what it says it will, and holds up the the heat of my mower. I had a fair amount of rust on a zero turn mower that was many years old. I was able to clean that up a bit, and cover it with this. Now that mower looks like new to me, and it runs great. I had no problems with flaking. I have an extra can because I bought two expecting to not have enough in a single can, no regrets there this shows it is a great size. When applying it did go on thick if I did not keep moving, but it still dried to a solid, matte black surface with no visible rust. It was easy to use, easy to clean up if needed, and gave a great professional look to my project mower.

This stuff works. It bonds fast, dries evenly, and stops rust in its tracks. Leaves a clean, paint‑ready surface without the mess or hassle. A dependable fix for metal that needs saving.

Good stuff / Follow thy directions
Leaves a nice even finish right out of the can. No drips, errors, or uneven spraying; works well! Multiple light application/coats is what you want for desired results. Pricing takes one star off yet convenience keeps it right at a solid four.

Seymour rust converter 16-45 is a very good product. I recommend it to anyone.

Used over potential and spotty rust under vehicles driven in the rust belt
Seems to work better than Permatex or rustoleum rust converters. Has a completely different and much stronger odor, so definitely wear a mask that filters out organics. I like that it does not require a topcoat. The finish is satin, definitely not gloss or flat.

Sand and repaint is a better option
