Could not put it down.
So, what could I say that would properly explain how much I greatly enjoyed this book. Probably not enough but I’m going to try.You first start the book with poor Carter is in the middle of turmoil. Well not completely but still stuck in the middle of drama not of his own making. I loved Carters sweet and loving nature so much. He is someone who watches out for his friends but they also watch out for him because he can easily be hurt. Then we come to Jeremy. The description of Jeremy sounds like your typical bad boy but as the story progresses you realize that that is just a protective layer for him. He really his a sweet guy but he just needed to get his head out of his big behind to realize it. Thank the stars above that Carter is just that person to help him realize that. The chemistry, we they reconnect again, starts off slow which works for these two. When the feelings start getting stronger for both of them that’s when things get more complicated. Instead of talking to each other though they kept things to themselves and almost messed it up for everyone. Now, in my opinion, this is where a lot of people nowadays mess up. Just like with Jeremy and Carter, when things started getting serious there is no communication. Just talk to each other! From the moment I picked up this book I couldn’t put it down. Just like any other really good book out there you’re going to like it, you’re going to get upset with characters at times, but most importantly you’re going to absolutely fall in love with Jeremy and Carter. I personally hope this isn’t the last we see of these two.

Carter & Jeremy Develops Into A Wonderful Couple
I fell in love with the two main characters - Carter & Jeremy - from the beginning. This book quality - too really identify with & like the main characters of a book or movie - is prerequisite #1 for me. These two came from different backgrounds, but got to know each other through Carter's friendship with Jeremy's younger sister.I loved how they came into each other's presence again after several years, and this when their previous parting was not a fond memory. To cut a long story short: Jeremy is sexually experienced while Carter is just about totally inexperienced. How the latter changed when these two young grown-ups found ways to express their deep feelings for each other, is quite precious. The story's backdrop about their different families, (with ample details about these families), was a good segue in and out of the main characters' love development. The following sentence very near the end of this novel sums up this wonderful book best: "Turns out, nothing was better for the introverted prince than being dragged out of his tower by his red hair by a moody, playful musician."I highly recommend this book to lovers of good m2m romance stories. Well done Kade Boehme!!

Ginger and Tats Rule
Kade Boehme has this uncommon ability to bring together complete opposites and turn them into angsty, soul-searching, selfish, and terribly needful lovers. In this one he scores with a closeted, reclusive red headed, creamy skinned son of a U.S. Senator and a slightly older friend from his youth who is a budding rock star, bigger, covered in tattoos, and completely over-the-top as a free spirit--and openly gay.Carter the Ginger and Jeremy the Hunk have a history of sorts, and they also have histories involving other people which totally and completely mess up their lives and plans for the future--even after they become reacquainted and get to like each other again. This is an "extended family reunion" journey amongst the privileged but not genteel Southern folk whom Boehme knows very, very well. That there is deep support and a good deal of hypocritical attitudes thrown in could have wrecked the eventual story line with too many conflicts. But Boehme does his usual splendid job of lighting a torch and leading everyone out of the deep by the time the Epilogue is over. Cool book.

I really liked the story
I really liked the story, however the editing... I had pre-ordered the book, but something went wrong and Amazon cancelled my pre-order, so I bought it when it was released, but I am seriously wondering what happened with the editing.I am normally pleased with Mr. Boehme's language and editing, but something was really wrong with this. At one point, there was a () with the words 'discuss accident', and that seemed like a reminder to the author. I loved the book, but the finished presentation was lacking severely.

Nice sweet ending
It was kind of classic Kade, I guess. A little bit like Chance of the Heart. It started out seeming kind of disjointed to me. The reasons Jeremy and Carter were at odds seemed to come out in bits and pieces and didn't feel like it flowed well. Then so much of it seemed rather static. We weren't given any real information about what they might have talked about. It seems it couldn't have been much, since neither ever discussed much of anything beyond sex. There was one conversation that seemed to start about Carters knee and there was nothing but a bracket saying something like; [discuss accident]. The story wasn't bad, by any means, but felt too incomplete to me.

Warm and fuzzy deliciousness
This was such a lovely, sweet, uncomplicated romance. Likeable and fully realised characters, just the right amount of angst and sweetness and hotness. It manages to be uncomplicated and low-key without being boring or resorting to melodrama to create interest. Just a wonderful, sweet, enjoyable, fun (sexy) romance that will give you all the warm and fuzzies.

Simple. Beautiful. Love. LOVED IT
And they kissed. Full of home and stars, and it was simple and it was good."This is my first book by this author and I actually loved it a whole lot. I was smiling so much the whole way through."And maybe, while we're here, we don't have to be so alone. Because around you, I don't feel alone, never had."So, there's Jeremy bad boy with a past that still follows him around a little. Oh and let's be honest he's totally an jerk at times. You know the kind where he says something a*sholey and you smirk and then kinda fall in love with him. Not just me, right?? I doubt it heh. Then we have Carter who does what is asked of him, putting others first even if it jeopardises who he is, well at least until he has enough and decides to take things into his own hands. It sounds like a cliché, bad boy tamed by the good guy (personally, I love clichés. I mean we love them for a reason.) But for me this actually wasn't one. It didn't read like one at all. There was no theatrics to play into a cliché, this story just was what it was, a simple love story, no theatrics needed in this one.Which made my angst phobia heart happy. Heh."It was always just about the right person."Jeremy is a musician and sorting things out in his life, trying to choose what's right for him. He has his whole bad boy thing going on but omg were there those times I wanted to cry and hug him when it came to tensions within his family and his past. Such vulnerable moments with him. Ahhhh!I loved these two together and how their relationship progresses through friends to lovers and seeing them work through things that were going on. And I mean, they were hot as f... together. And that scene with them chasing eachother *heart melts*. Another thing I loved about this book was the characters and how they were written, most of the characters had the good and 'bad' sides to them, they weren't just one thing. The decisions made and things said weren't always the right ones but it was hard to fully dislike any of the characters. (except Ella. First impressions and all that. I just never warmed up to her. Lol.) I loved how they were all written and how the title fitted this story beautifully. Without a doubt I'll be checking out more of Kade Boehme's books!

5-3 stars This is a easy, light read
2.5-3 starsThis is a easy, light read. Low angst, sweet and simple. It was enjoyable and hot but while I liked all the characters, I felt they lacked that spark that would have made them stand out. For me it lacked depth.Jeremy being the black sheep of the family and Carter's family issues seemed to lack the emotional punch needed for me to really feel invested in their story. It just never really gripped me.What really naffed me off though was the editing. Or complete lack thereof. It was ropey to say the least:Random double line spacing, missing words, wrong words used, lack of capital letters for names, sentences that don't make sense, not to mention Bob Dylan being spelt as Dillon... *shudders* it was distracting and really irritated me.I paid for this book, the least I expect is for it to have been edited.

Read this! Excellent!
What a lovely book. I've enjoyed Kade Boehme's books for a long time, and in writing this one he really has outdone himself. Chris (shy and introverted) and Jeremy (tattooed bad boy) come together in this sweet love story. Angsty and complex Jeremy and Chris, who's a sweetheart, have both got pasts to overcome, but, despite this, the story isn't dripping in angst and is quite a happy love story throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jeremy's sudden realisation that he was in love.I think this is one of the author's best books yet. The main characters are real and written beautifully, l loved them both, the story has a lot of depth and it contains one of the most beautiful declarations of love I have ever read. Read it, you'd be a fool not to.
