Its not flimsy but its not build to last either
I have had this on couple of my macbooks thru out the years. It all started great until the hinge started to break in about a year. I kept buying the replacement until recently I am fed up and try switching to another one. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09LYWQQ3C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Note this is not an endorsement on one or another as I only have the new for ~2 months. I will update reviews on both perhaps in a year to see which one is sturdier.

Laptops should have these straight from the factory!!! Highly RECOMMEND these!! AAA+++
There are not very many products out there for this type of application. I mean sure there are fans and other stands that you can rest your laptop on but there are not many after market legs to choose from and i have even tried the little rubber bumpers for glass table tops on my laptop. I wanted a set of these that were sturdy and did not look like they were going to break just under the weight of my hands resting on the laptop. i finally decided on this set, i am glad i did. What i like is the fact that even when in the folded position there is more lift than provided from the factory laptop feet. The packaging says" 2 ergonomic elevations" but really there are 3, folded which is about maybe 1/2 inch lifted, then the small set of legs which is about 1 inch of lift and then the large legs which provide about 1-3/8 inch of lift. I feel that in either of these 3 positions you will never have to worry about your laptop overheating. These are such a great idea that i am surprised that laptops dont come like this straight from the factory. I know $16 might seem a bit pricey, but if you have ever overheated your laptop so bad that your motherboard needed to be repaired, then these are worth it to save you from that repair cost.Thank You LapWorks for a great product. I have 2 sets, one for my XPS 15 and one for my Inspiron and i am sure i will be buying these again when i need to.

Wish I had ordered these sooner
I got these for my Dell Inspiron N5040, which is a 15.6 HD widescreen, if that gives you some idea of its size. I've used my laptop on ... well, on top of my lap, like the name implies, so I know its bottom can get kinda warm. On the assumption that it gets equally warm when used on the table top, I decided these legs might help the heat dissipate and perhaps allow the laptop to live a longer life. These legs definitely let the air circulate better under the laptop and help get the heat out. And since I'm one of those people who like to have my keyboard at a little more of a angle from the horizontal, I've found that to be a nice bonus. I usually use the higher set of legs, and for a 2-fingers-and-a-thumb typist, albeit a pretty fast one, the elevation is just what I want and makes it easier for me to type fast while avoiding mistakes. YMMV.I noticed that one of the reviewers mentioned his legs came off after a couple of months. I anticipate that this might happen sometime down the road, but if/when it does, I intend to get a small roll of the foam double-sided tape that the hardware stores sell for $2-3, and use it to reattach the legs. That would be a simple and inexpensive fix, and it would allow me to continue using these legs that I have grown to rely on. And it may not even happen, because I was careful to pick a mounting location that was mostly flat and smooth, then use a razor blade knife to trim off a couple of small plastic protrusions before attaching the legs. What else can I say? These legs work perfectly for me, I'm glad that I ordered them, and I wish I had ordered them sooner. For me, they're definitely worth the price.

very useful for a small laptop, to make typing easier
I have an Asus Zenbook ultrabook. It is my travel PC, but I use it at home a lot. I usually keep it on a table. When I saw a lightning deal for Laptop Legs, I thought they would be good for raising the keyboard to a bit of an angle for easier typing. Also, even though my PC does not run that hot, having it raised for better cooling seemed like a good idea.Laptop Legs have really worked out well for me. The slight angled raise of the keyboard makes typing much easier when it's on a table. When I put it on my lap or need to put it in my pack, I just fold the legs. Having these attached to the laptop makes using them very convenient. I personally always use the higher setup, but having more than 1 to choose from is a nice option.I really like these. After 11 months of use, one of the legs broke. I contacted customer service and within a day, Alan, the COO, replied. He said the warranty was actually 6 months, but as a courtesy, he'd send a replacement. I got it a few days later. That is good customer service. I paid less than 20 with free shipping (Prime) and the replacement came free. So, 5 stars for these guys. I really find the product useful. On a side note, should anyone want or need to remove one or both, as I did, here is a tip (which Alan suggested). Gently pry at the sticker part with an old plastic credit card or similar. I found that scraping at it bit by bit removed the unit and most of the sticky stuff. Then, a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol removed the rest, leaving the bottom of the PC clean and ready for the new one. Took less than 5 minutes.
