This is an original, handpainted, one-of-a-kind wooden box. The box has been double base painted with a black top coat over an under coat of red. Two sides are stenciled using a chalk pencil and the other two sides are bordered with chalk pencil checks and have a trio of produce that have been hand painted - tomato, eggplant and an ear of corn. When the painting was completed, the sides were lightly sanded to reveal the red under coat and then the entire piece was sealed with a water-based varnish. Measurements: 9 1/2" long, 8" wide and 4 3/4" deep.
