I have had my older copy of this book for over two years, and have used it extensively when I am traveling in the Pacific Northwest. It is better organized than almost any other guide book I have owned, and has led me to many gems I would have otherwise overlooked. I bought the newer edition for a friend, but had a chance to look through it briefly, and it has even more waterfalls, and has added some viewing tips for some of the places I have already visited. It is a great hiking guide as well, and the directions to trailheads are spot on every time. It is extremely well researched - I wish the author had guides for other parts of the country. I will probably buy myself the newer edition before my next trip out west!

This book was exactly what I wanted, and was shipped quicker than I thought.

Pictures were nice quality and took up a-lot of space. Theres a column gray box showing where to look up and locate more information in each state. However I can use the internet to do that. Those who are old school research it could be a great tool. It has 4 pages devoted to each state. They are listed in alphabetical order of the states which makes finding information on a state easy to locate. However the written content in this book only listed a few places in that state more in a story form then an information form. For the above reasons I returned the book.

Good book. Doesn't cover all the waterfalls in Oregon though. Also, the maps can be a bit confusing when trying to find the waterfall on them.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and she loves it, makes hiking much more enjoyable. The only draw back is that some of the water falls are a lot further then the book actually says, so pack for an adventure and enjoy.

We had no idea there are so many waterfalls! The book is great to explain very clear driving directions, then type of walk, if any, and magnitude of the falls and other details. We are including the date we viewed and our own notes in our book and it has become part of our travel pack..
