Im putting these an inch apart on main line. Do the magnets need to repel each other or attract? How will I know if they are cancelling ea other out?

Put one set to water line feed coming in to house ( cold line ) put other set to hot water line coming out of water heater so hard water molecules do not reform from heat source

The larger units are used extensively in Saudi Arabia on oil field cooling pipes, as well as commercial water parks and aquariums and mainly on farms for irrigation pipes. The model you are asking about is a very basic model. It is the beginning model of the line and should be used for apartments, condos, RV's, and small limited water consumption homes. Look at the Medium and Large models ($59 and $78) and those will handle up to 1-1/2" pipes.

Is there a size for larger homes?
