The Reach Backhand Lotion Applicator Tropical Teal / Jade for applying lotions to back

I first bought one of these back in the mid to late 90's when I think they first came out. I remember being pleased to see that it was made in my home town of Portland, OR. It was a wonderful and innovative idea! And it lasted for years. I finally had to replace it three years ago because the sponge had worn thin and was starting to disintegrate. I was excited to find them at a local tanning salon and later on Amazon. The design and the price haven't changed. One thing that has changed though is the glue that's used to hold the sponge to the wand. I can now only get about 20 uses out of this thing before the sponge falls off. I have to order a new one at the start of every summer and hope it lasts through the season and have been through three so far. What was once a great product has become a disappointment. I keep hoping they'll be made back to the way they used to be or that a competitor will come along with a better product.

I have been using this product for years to apply bronzer. I initially bought it from my gym and have found that simple stick under water and press against the sink gets the tanner out. I have never used it for lotion so I cannot comment on that but have bought another style of lotion applicator which was a hard surface and threw it out. This one is great and I am glad to see that there are replacement sponges.

This thing is a crap bought it a month ago used 2 times and the sponge came off cpntact the seller he said is normal the sponge comes off so u can wash but there no way to put back that means garbage
