Solid bulb for a great price!
Edit: about a year later, bought 8 more to fully round it my set of soft boxes so I can switch from daylight to tungsten very quickly. These bills are an even better value this year and work brilliantly for even less money.Works great. Nice, bright and even light at 3200K.Side note: I'd love if you guys would put together LED sets at both 3200k and 5500k balanced color temperatures for sale, ideally with dimmer capabilities.

Product arrived safely. The outer box was damaged pretty badly in transit yet my bulb is fine and works great. I use it both for plants and for videotaping and I am quite pleased. The company that sent it has showed a great deal of care as well. I like that.

Yes, these are very large bulbs I am going to use it i my work shop at work. My ballast went bad and a friend told me about the performance just from a single bulb, so I ordered it. They are way better than those old style tube flouro lights.

We needed this as a replacement bulb in the studio. The package appeared undamaged, but when we plugged the bulb in, it only lit half way. After giving it about ten seconds to see if it just needed to warm up, there was a loud pop sound and the bulb was totally dead.

Do these really have a <8 month life?! Cheap to buy, costly in the long-run
I have bought A LOT of these over the years and am finally done with them. I grow hundreds of houseplants with inadequate natural light exposure in my apartment, so I use full-spectrum bulbs in light fixtures on timers throughout my apartment in order to extend my growing space. Since I do not want my space to feel like a climate controlled greenhouse, I specifically sought out bulbs with a 3200K color temperature so that the lighting feels like standard indoor lighting. CFLs need to be replaced after about a year, since their performance begins to diminish after that point, but I felt like they burnt out way more quickly than that. I began writing the date on the bulbs when I replaced them, and these bulbs never make it to a year. Some have started flickering and strobing, or changed to a warm orange or red color, or in two cases, shorted out with magnificent smoke and buzzing sounds. I worried that maybe the light cords I was using were the problem, so I bought new ones, which were rated for 100W per cord, and which received an average Amazon review of 4.5 stars. This did not make a difference. These bulbs are not worth the resources it cost to make them.
