This is a good coop for the backyard hobbyist that is looking for a handful of pet or laying birds. Don't expect to be overwhelmed with quality here, this thing is made out of very light duty, realitively low quality materials. That being said, what you are paying for is "ease of use" and aesthetics . The coop is pretty simple to assemble once you get your bearings and it really does look nice compared to what you might build yourself (let's just say it's cute). All in all, I am happy with my purchase at this price point. The only reason for a reduced rating is the material quality. But I could be wrong, it may last a long time with a decent weatherproof paint.Here are a couple more points that may help in your decision.- this thing is ORANGE, I painted mine with some deck/fence paint for both protection and aesthetic reasons- it sounds big but it's really pretty small when you look at it outside, no more than 5 or 6 birds spending large portions of the day in here.- hinges and latches are pretty bad, plan on replacing at some point.

looks really good and goes together just as easy. plenty of screws and parts. Nice quality the last one lasted 3 years.
