WOW! If you have a 3D TV this thing works
First off. They claimed delivery in 4 days it arrived in 2.I have a Vizio 3D Tv with a Samsung 3D player, U-Verse TV, and a digital off the air receiver as sources all feeding into a HDMI switch and then into this product then into my 3D TV. No it is not the real 3D you have come to expect from the 3D disks you might have seen because the video content was not shot with a 3D camera. But it is very interesting. You have to be at least 8 to 10' feet back and with my Vizio use the passive glasses not the included glasses that come with the product and have your TV set up for 3D. At first I was slightly confused but after hitting the right button It made my screen look like it was 8' deep.As my brain adjusted and I switched channels things became clearer. You have to adjust your viewing habits and train your brain to adjust from years of watching 2D video. My wife complained for the first 15 minutes and I got a slight headache... but this device does work and enhances the image to boot. Any overlaid graphics POP off the screen which can be a bit annoying. But anything new takes some time to adjust too. I did not test the 3D to a 2D standard set just the 2D to my 3D TV set and it is quite interesting giving you background depth as if your looking through a window. For those who own a 3D TV set it will be worth buying it just to impress and confuse your family and friends. Cartoons take on a whole new look and as I watch the Golf Channel I was curious how it looked . Not bad not full 3D but an improvement over what is considered normal TV. What most reviewers forget to add is how it improves the image through it's processing the color and image is fantastic in 3D or 2D. I have decided to give it a thumbs up and recommend it.

Functional 2D to 3D converter
This review will present pros and cons for two different 2D to 3D converters found at Amazon and other related internet sites. First, my setup is a Panasonic TC-P50VT25 3D TV and a Tivo Premiere XL set at 1080i output display, which is the highest you can get on the Tivo with network TV. On occasion I would like to view a program in 3D and since Panasonic seemed reluctant to provide a firmware update to add the 2D to 3D conversion option I needed to take the matter into my own hands. I researched what was available out on the internet and found two different models under different brand names. The first 2D to 3d (side-by-side) converter, purchased and returned, was of the rectangle box type, which did a fairly good converting, but you will need to set your output signal from your Tivo or other to 480p, 720p, and 1080p (progressive). It will not work with the 1080i (interlace) signal. The 3D effect was good but the noticeable color and resolution downgrade were evident. The draw back here is to get back to normal viewing you needed to set the Tivo back to 1080i and vice versa for 3D. I thought this added step and resolution reduction not desirable. The second 2D to 3D converter reviewed is for this converter, which I kept, was a rectangle box with the round ends. This converter was the most forgiving of the two in regards to handling the 1080i display signal. The box can handle any progressive signal 480p/576p/720p/1080p as well as 1080i. You do not need to set your sending equipment to progressive from the 1080i interlace signal. This is a plus in fact the 1080i signal from my Tivo was up converted to 1080p for normal TV network viewing. Colors and resolution were a definite upgrade at 1080p. It's only con is the 3D effect is a bit too strong even set at the weakest of the three options. If, I could find a hardware adjustment or hack to lessen the 3D effect it would be the perfect 2D to 3D converter.Prior to purchasing the converter; it is important to research which type of input signal it can handle and which progressive signals it will be outputting.

Darkens Picture and Text is Fuzzy
This converter darkens the picture even when not in 3D mode. Any night scenes were so dark that they were unwatchable. Took converter out of the loop and same scenes were fine. They do not have a true 2D pass through!!! Also, things like text or lights (porch, street, etc.) were fuzzy. Don’t waste your money on this converter. I replaced mine with the 3D Bee Converter and it works great. It doesn’t darken the scenes even in 3D mode (although the glasses will always cause some darkening but that’s true of all 3D). All text on the screen is fine as are lights. The 3D Bee also has four HDMI inputs whereas the AdapSonic has only one. I got my 3D Bee for $300 which more than the AdapSonic which was $50. Of course with the AdapSonic I had to buy an extra HDMI switcher box with 4 ports and a cable to run between them. If you want to save money I have my old AdapSonic with switcher box and cable that I’ll sell Very Very cheap(-:

Don't waste your money.
This worked great for turning 2D into 3D which is why I gave it a full 2 stars, but would not work with the 3D built into the Playstation 3, so it was pretty much worthless to us. We sent it back. If you planned on using this with your game system on a 2D tv, don't waste your money.
