Ports were too tight, hub resets periodically, disconnecting devices
It works most of the time, but if having a hub reset itself is bad, this is not the hub for you. I also had a problem where some ports where unusually tough to plug/unplug devices... while using any other hub or port had no struggle. I would not purchase this again.

it works great, looks great
If only it had some Type C passthru data ports instead of all the old Type A ports. As it is, it works great, looks great, seems to be built great, but to get five stars, I need to be able to daisy-chain Type C devices somehow.

Nice Hub
This product was sent to me for testing. This is a very nice 7 port hub and the quality is up there. It's a long slender design that's about 7.25 by 1.5 in inches with a cable just short of 10.The ports are working well when sliding in my USB cables and this is a charger also. I can get a little excited about this because I carry both port multipliers and chargers in my briefcase with my laptops. So I checked the transformer and found it rated at 4 amps at 5 volts, great. Then I tested it. I'll include an image of it with two meters and loads on the ports equalized at 4.89 volts. You can see that one is displaying .99 amps and the other .88 amps for a total of 1.87 amps at 4.89 volts. Obviously this transformer that's supplied is not capable of 4 amps at 5 volts or even close to it, I measure .7 amps at 5 volts from a single port. In the second image I'll show the power supplies ability to maintain the USB 3 standard of .9 amps to each port by connecting 3 meters and loads adjusted as closely to 5 volts as I could get them, it's a very touchy adjustment. The tan colored meter is reading .34 amps at 5 volts, the black DROK meter is reading .62 at 4.99 volts and the white meter is reading .45 amps at 5.01 volts, and remember that you want .9 amps from each of them to meet the USB 3 standard, and none of these are close. So whether you want to charge your phone or just supply power to your external hard drive from this hub, this 4 amp at 5 volts AC transformer doesn't help the way that it should because it doesn't supply 4 amps. I don't worry too much about it however, because if I take these same meters and plug them into USB 3 ports on two different computers of mine, I'll get measurements of about .45 amps at 5 volts and not .9 as the standard suggests. So as a port multiplier I like it and as a charger it will only charge two 1 amp or a single 2 amp device normally, maybe just a hair slow. Bummer, I had high hopes for this product and I'll be notifying the seller of my results with the hope that the charging situation can be fixed.Just to avoid any doubt about this testing, I have three variable USB loads and four USB volt/amp testers including the Port a Pow premium and I used them all. The transformer is being plugged into a Furman line conditioning AC outlet and getting a good clean power.Since USB chargers can be purchased for $10 and I'll let you shop for a nice USB port multiplier, but I'll say under $15, I have a hard time recommending this product at today's price of $33. It needs a better transformer and charging to justify today's cost in my mind. For this reason I can do no better than 2.5 stars rounded to 3 when rating this. I welcome the chance to do my testing over again if and when the seller gets a 4 amp 5 volt transformer for this, because I'm afraid that he won't be happy that he didn't when he thought that he already did.*I have discussed this with the seller and he is looking into it. Personally. I really hope that he gets the issue resolved easily, because just like us online shoppers he had every reason to believe in the transformer he's included with this hub. Then somebody comes along and tests it with his meters and informs everyone of the results, and that guy can really be a troublemaker at times while just trying to help online shoppers.*
