You can also use the same type of mixture to paint it later on. It acts as a pax paint. Hope this helps! It can tear, yes, I in fact DID stitch two pieces together with much tension and it began to tear... however you can paint latex onto one side and it will hold the pieces together. If you want to have the stitches show then just paint the side with latex BEHIND the stitches. **Q: How long will this store for before it needs to be used/replaced? (first time using this material)** A: As long as you keep it closed it should last. Maybe not 2-3 years but it will last. If it starts to thicken up you can add a bit of ammonia to thin it back out **Q: Would this be what I would paint on rocks to make skins for concrete stamping?
