Is the brooks women’s ghost 13 appropriate for walking?

How long will these shoes last if worn every day all day???

Buying 2 pr and wearing each pr every other day will extend the life of the shoe because of the bounce back action of the materials. Wearing them for continuous walking as for exercise or any other continuous repetitive activity like running wears them out much faster than casual wear. Wearing continuously all day is also a lot of wear. So, you may get a 3rd pr just for exercise. These are just some suggestions. Average wear usually wears out a sneaker in 6-8 months or 1 yr. but it depends on all these factors. Wearing all day on your feet like for a nurse, some would feel the need to replace every 2wks,some 1x per month.If you rotate you may get 2-4 or more. These are ideas. See how  you feel. I like to buy 2 pr and rotate them.So I have been getting  3-4 months w 2 pr.

When I walk, my toes flare up. I've been known to rub a hole into the mesh tops of shoes in a short period of time. How durable is the top mesh?

This mesh is very durable and also the toe box is deep and roomy which should help with your problem. Sizing up a half size also helps with people who have rubbed holes in the mesh. This might be something to consider as well.

Can any underpronaters offer some advice as to which style they prefer? ghost, glycerin, levitate, etc? i've always ran in sucony, but want to switch.

I have not bought any Brooks shoes yet, but fwiw, am about to buy the Ghost 14 based on a number of recommendations for good shoes for supination. When I search within the Brooks site for sneakers for supination, Ghost 14 is the first to come up. It has also come up on several lists of recommended shoes for supinators (aka underpronators).
