One of the most "under-rated" games ever, and only because of it's difficulty
I'm 33, and at the moment have brought out my NES for my son(and for me)and now I'm grabbing all of my favorite games of my childhood, and among the many of them is "BTTF". The many negative reviews and other people saying "this game sucks",hated it for the simple fact of it's extreme difficulty. You have your basic simple premise to dodge bully's,hoola hoop girls, pits, and oil, ridiculous I know, but fun. The controls are basic and easy and are are smoothly done for it's time. At the end of a few blocks of skating,dodging and throwing bowling balls at your enemies, your first mission awaits, and it's the mini games that frustrate so many gamers, yes it's difficult and it can be done and therefore it has a good game-play value, not simply a game you beat and put in the dust-pile of old games. There's four mini-games(the cafe,the school of blocking hearts,the dance and the finale in the Delorion.) Maybe for me it's just the nostalgia factor but I'm playing this on break and still cant put it down. Your a true gamer if you beat this one.

Not exactly like the movie. But worth the challenge.
Most people would think that older games designed for outdated consoles wouldn't pose much of a challenge for a modern gamer. We have high definition, 3D games that are more complex than anything on the old NES. Well, think again. After mastering the most popular NES games, I tried this one and found it to be more of a challenge than I was expecting. From elaborate street scenes complete with bullies and obstacles, to the gymnasium where the 'Enchantment under the sea' dance was held, this game certainly has its place in any vintage game collection.

super fun game. you would think that micheal j fox did the voice in the game. totally could be the 5th movie. awesome game play and lots of fun.

It works, I'll give it that.
It does boot up on my NES after a few attempts, and it does work somewhat fine, the cartridge itself on the other hand, not so much. The labels, shell and front pins are extremely damaged, looks like it got stuck in somebody's flooded basement for years, but for an NES game for $6 that's something I had to expect.As for the game itself, I honestly don't see why people refer to this as one of the "worst games of all time", it's a pretty shoddily made game but I don't think it's actually that bad.Overall it's 100% still playable even in it's current state, however please keep the cartridge quality in mind.
