They do exactly what they're supposed to do. Easy to install & adjust. I originally wondered whether they would work on the vertical wooden sashes that open outward from the bottom on my salvaged sash & barnwood greenhouse. An email to the manufacturer received an immediate reply along with a PDF of the instruction sheet. Small & compact; they do not have a cylinder that projects into the room which would have been in the way on my installation. I needed 5 but only purchased 3 untill I knew how well they worked. They work so well that now I need 2 more!Shipping was from Europe & I received them 5 days after the date of order! That's better than some "2 day" shipping! Pay the extra 2 dollar upshipping charge, it's worth it.One important note: remove during the winter if your greenhouse is seasonal. Some time ago I had tried a similar unit from Harbor Freight but had to return it unused because it had leaked oil while new in the box.
