Warning don't risk your dough
Clean And clear the distortion channel has some bite without overdoing it , but the clean channel really is very pur even with the more intricate chords they come thru . its a superb palate for adding your own stomp sound . no reverb ,no channel switching pedal ,its 50 extra .good price for el34 jazz fusion sound or any sound for that matter . the handle on the side is great idea .compact lightweight effect loop with pedal on/ off . straight clean 40 update the clean channel blew out after 13 months of very few hours , my amp tech says it's a mess keep it as a expensive back up like I don't have a pile of those already . It was used for the synth numbers which weren't many .

A lead player's amp...
Great little amp! The cleans are nice and punchy and the overdrive channel is smooth and fat. Definitely a lead guitar player's amp as it has THAT tone as opposed to a sharper, more scooped sound. The stock tubes that came with mine are JJ EL34s and Ruby 12ax7s. Swapped out the power tubes for SED EL34s and the v1 for a NOS Mullard ECC83 (short plate I63s). Just a personal choice (i use this tube combo on all my amps) and it's sounds much better. My only complaint with this is that it doesn't come with a footswitch and the fx loop doesn't work without one (it's default setting is "off") so that was a little annoying. Any two button TRS footswitch should work, however. All in all, a great little amp that has more than enough power for gigging!
