Ends aren't rounded
Ok, gotta give this a four out of five. While the tines themselves have rounded tips so they don't scratch the skin, the ends of the spine are basically just sheared off, leaving a little bit of a sharp edge around the ends of it. Compare this to FourPaws whose bar has fully-rounded ends and it's a clear knock-off.That said, again, the tines are as described and that is the important part, and it is cheaper than the FourPaws alternative (which was out of stock or else I would've bought that) but I just can't give five stars to it knowing what else is out there. You won't be disappointed with this. You just won't be excited. Then again, it's a freaking comb so who cares.

Great for combing through any type of fur or hair.
I have owned one like this for a couple years now. And then I lost it. My puppy loves her hair combed. I tried other combs and brushes, but they aren't as good at getting tangles out. Finally here I am. I brush through her hair with the wide end first. Then go back with the tighter one. Some advise, don't cut off small mats of fur. Start at the ends and they come out moving up a bit at a time. Tangles are like braids on human hair or dogs. You can't stick a comb in a braids middle or top to get it out. Start working up and many times it works. From my experience a dogs hair will tangle more where it is uneven. So if you chop it out it makes worse ones. Try it.

Multiple teeth fell out immediately and then I find out that this item CANNOT BE RETURNED!!!!
This comb is very poorly made: one tooth fell out as I was taking off the plastic that was wrapped around the comb for shipping; a second tooth fell out when I ran it through my dog's (relatively short and unmatted) coat the first time. The teeth themselves are a bit rough and the spine of the comb is simple a round metal bar: it has a very cheap unbalanced feel to it. But here's the really annoying part: this item CANNOT be returned! I didn't even know that was possible with Amazon items! It's infuriating even if it is a stupid $5 comb! Anyway, apparently there's a reason that good combs cost twice this much. I'd had the greyhound comb that I lost for 14 years and never had ANY issues with it. Who expects to have issues with a metal comb? Now I know better!

Great price and way better than expected
I have a big variety of greyhound type grooming combs including the originals which used to be made in Germany. The thing I really like about this one is the teeth are a little fatter, longer and best of all, the ends are more rounded. I gave the one I recently bought as a gift and just had the chance to use it on his long haired cat while pet sitting. Now I can't wait to try it on Marley who hates being groomed as much as Whiskers loves it. I just bought another.

Good quality comb
Good quality comb, well constructed. I use it to comb my Persian cat every day. My Persian's fur is very long and fine, and even her ears will mat, so daily combing is necessary. Years ago, a wonderful groomer gave me her own comb like this. After Rose's comb lost a tooth, I bought this one. I've been using it for months, and it does a good job of removing a couple of hands full of shed hair daily.

Great Dog Comb
This comb helps us keep our golden doodle matt-free. It is strong, yet surprisingly comfortable for my dog (or so it seems). Although we are keeping her fur on the shorter side, this comb would work well if we let it grow out.

It’s so versatile!
I have a 7 month old Yorkie with fairly thick & growing hair. I own 2 other combs but this kind was recommended by my breeder. It works beautifully! The wider side is great for general combing with no tugging. The finer teeth are good for those stubborn knots. I am very pleased with it’s functionality.

Fantastic!
I have a Persian cat whose fur always knots close to the skin and getting them undone is almost impossible. Talking with my breeder, she told me to get this comb and it's a game changer. Can now get the knots out and my fur ball hardly minds at all!
