Works as Described
Had issues with the BM Racing Guage Kit and purchased this temp a gauge.Does come with sensor but you have to if not installing directly but remotely come up with a inline T and fittings.Be sure when you ground the sensor do it at the very top not the body. (Do not let it touch the other connection that must run to the gauge.)If you do that it works fine. they tell you to ground but not as I have noted above. Was a lot of trial by error before I hooked up as described.

Non-Standard Sender Size
The gauge isn't bad. You're buying the cheapest one you can find, and it might act like it. I've noticed that if it is not mounted perfectly vertical, the needle will move around when you tap on the gauge face. Personally, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in it, which is of course super important if you like your transmission. Also important to note is that the sender that came with this is not a standard size. The threads are 1/8" NPT as advertised, however the sender part itself is slightly bigger. It would not fit through the bung that I welded into my transmission pan (of course I didn't test first). Take a look at the picture, you'll see what I mean about the sender being just a touch larger. Next to the one that came with this gauge is one I had laying around in the shop as well as the bung that I welded into my pan.

Installed in a 2006 Jeep Wrangler
I installed this gauge in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) with the sensor installed in the transmission pan in February 2017. Works well. From the drivers seat, you can't quite see the top of the gauge in the location that I put it, but I know 180* is straight up so I'm ok with that. I had it installed for about 6 months and then added a transmission cooler. Temps dropped 20* after installing the cooler.

Gauge looks and works great!
Gauge looks great, and works great. I was looking for a gage that blended in with my oem gages, had a light that was dimmable, and from a reputable mfg. Like most other reviewers, I did have to run a ground wire to the body of the gage to get it to work accurately... possible my own fault...i used sealer on the threads.

Satisfied
Arrived on time..only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that the gauge didn't register after installation, called the seller, they were very helpful and found out that the temperature sensor that I installed in the pan needed to be grounded. Would be helpful if the manufacture would make note of that possibility in the directions.

Great gauge: better to know than be ignorant of your RV's condition!
I installed this gauge as part of my effort to make sure family RV #2 didn't go "BOOM" on the road. Along with a new transmission cooler, this gauge really lets me know when I'm pushing the tranny on road trips and helps how I drive when on long trips.

I'm really happy with this temp gauge
I'm really happy with this temp gauge. It came with an 1/8" NPT size sender and a wiring harness that attaches to the rear of the gauge with a locking connector. The sensor wire was long enough to reach the sender unit that I installed on the transmission housing. Installation was a breeze and the included instructions were concise and well written. Overall I'm very satisfied.
