Versatility cones to mind when using your carrier. Review: Daily user still holding up. - First thing i have to say is, I love the box. I've put it through its paces, not being gentle with it. I bring it on and off jobsites daily dragging it through big rocks/gravel which must be hell on the tires(due to the weight). Which brings me to the first criticism of it. Needs either rubber wheels or something else for rough terrain, but still manages for now. On smooth terrain works great. The locking mechanism for the bottom which is a plastic loop won't prevent anyone on a jobsite from getting in, but will keep honest people honest at least(the only thing going for it, is the locking is the arms that can lock into place, just for ignorance of how it opens). The tops locks have a better chance or standing to tampering but have a cramped design(hard to get a padlock in place). One of the wheel supports cracked from me loading it into the truck fully loaded(60lbs worth of tools), but still working, waiting for it to break fully to run a strong axel through it... To Summarize; All in all I WOULD recommend this to others, the biggest things that stand out, is that it manages daily use, makes carrying full set of power tools (battery operated, portaband, rotor hammer, reg drill, impact drill, handtools, consumables and more) much easier. I need to know how tall it is.** A: 3 3/4" deep. Also know that every 4" there is a fixed divider, so it is very limited to what you can put in there.One other thing to let you know is I put my tools in there and the first step I tried to pull it up the handle broke. It has a lifetime warrantee, but I have not had a chance to see if they honor their warrantee. Just know the handle doesn't hold up well. **Q: is this better plastic than the Stanley? I checked out the Stanley and it was flimsy plastic.** A: NO! the Stanley fatmax and this Dewalt are exactly the same! I have bought both and only lasted a good 6 months before they are completed non functioning. I definitely use and abuse the mobile tool boxes and love them, however, i need something a lot more sturdy! **Q: Good morning, can you lock it?** A: You can only put a pad lock on the top tool box. The other two lower boxes lock with the two stabilizers on the sides. (the two diagonal pieces between the first and the third box) you pull back on the top end, and at the same time you push down on the bottom end. This is a great box for small, not to heavy tools. the whole tool box is a little flimsy, but it works and separates tools nicely. I personally love the way this tool box opens, very convenient, and space efficient. But I'll be honest, if you wanna carry heavy tools or taking this to the construction site, i don't recommend it. get the Though System carrier by DeWalt. that will run you about $ 280.00 to $ 300.00 but that one is heavy duty. You can even use it as a hand truck. i have transported 4 80 lb. sacks of concrete and it rolls just fine. i hope this helps you . Have a great day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use as a mobile chest for painting supplies *by T***Y on March 2, 2022* I had seen the Craftsman model of this Dewalt product. This model has a sturdier handle and wheels and appears to be built stronger than the Craftsman one. The initial flaw of this chest was that one of the middle drawer partitions had popped up and prevented it from opening up. I nearly had to have a lever to get it open while placing it on its back. After moving it back and forth and lubricating the metal parts on drawers, it opens up more easily now. To bad there were no directions for it. It also has a carry tray in first compartment that the Craftsman chest does not have. Noticed that there is a step at the bottom compartment where one can step on it and leverage it open more easily. Too bad there are no instructions. After I got it figured out, I will be using it to hold my painting supplies and easel. It also would have helped to have designed some handles on the sides to lift it in and out of vehicle. With this opening up design it does not fall over and keeps your supplies close by. I can even fit my painting box and some canvas boards in bottom section. I gave it only a 4 of 5 stars because of the initial difficulty and lack of instructions.
