Are these wood or plastic?** A: They are made of plastic and big enough that if my 13 month old granddaughter puts them in her mouth there is no chance of her swallowing them. Her mother, my daughter, absolutely loves them. **Q: How large are the actual magnets on the back of the letters? Are they little pieces of magnet? I will update if I hear back from them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would recommend *by C***R on August 1, 2026* Great size and attach to refrigerator very well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXACTLY what I was looking for *by A***Z on December 9, 2019* We bought this set of letters about 3 months ago (when my daughter was 9 months old) We took out all of the choke hazards (I think it was just I in this bucket - we also got lowercase and numbers which had i, j, l) and have been practicing putting them up, taking them down, as well as spelling her name. She recognizes T, t, and m -- her name starts with T and someone taught her that the m says Mmmmmmmm, so that's how that caught on. She can take them down and struggles to stick them back up (magnets are a difficult concept) I'm glad these are so large - we have the whole lower half of the fridge dedicated to her magnets, as well as the side of a file cabinet. She loves to carry them around and gift them to anyone who will take one. It also a great distraction when I'm prepping meals.
