I plan to use these jars to store cereal. I've been looking for a cereal dispenser (glass/silicone in a metal frame) but haven't found anything like that - and I'm afraid if I do, the price will be beyond reasonable. I've used the plastic and acrylic ones but cereal gets stale and not safe from pests. I never had pests but I see potential for it since cereal always falls out of the dispenser openings after use and when the dispensers get bumped (usually when cleaning counters). I finally gave up after years of cleaning it up everyday. These gallon jars are just right. They may not be cereal dispensers but they will keep our cereal fresh in a clean and tidy container that isn’t plastic. That’s what I want.I also like this seller. They are a small business from what I can tell and they take pride in their work. I will be ordering more of these. I'm looking at their product list to see what else they sell. I recommend! (By the way, I have nothing to do with this company. I am just a happy customer who likes to find good Amazon third- party vendors. I am loyal to the good ones I find.)

This is NOT a mason Jar and the quality reflects it. If you want a solid sturdy jar, don't buy this item. Mine didn't last a day, I nicked it when cleaning it for the first time and it broke. Very thin glass for such a large jar. I emailed the company, no apologies in return, just stated they could do nothing about it since it broke in my care.

Loved the jars but one was smashed to pieces when it arrived. It was broken before it shipped because it was in a bubble wrap sack and taped across with white tape to keep it closed so the broken glass wouldn't come out. The other jars had a single length of bubble wrap wrapped around the middle with the bottom and top open. For a packer to do this is.....simply dishonest. I would have given it 5 stars. I repeat, I LOVE THE JARS!

Exactly what I need, perfect size

This was exactly what I wanted. I will use these to store sugar and flour in the pantry. The opening is about 4" across. I put a standard 4 pound bag of sugar in it and it filled it a little more than halfway. The two jars came in a box with minimal packing materials. One lid was broken, but the seller promptly sent a voucher code for a free replacement. The jars were fine, which must mean the glass is strong. The lid has a #5 recycling code, and there is a foam liner to make it airtight.

The tea jar that I received had a chip on the inside of the jar. After two emails to the seller, I was provided a code for a new jar to replace the damaged one with no issue. I was pleased to see that they were following through with giving a new product. The second tea jar arrived undamaged and has worked great for tea. I prefer to make sun tea in a glass jar and that is what I am doing with it. The lid on the jar goes on and off easily and the glass is a thick glass. The jar feels sturdy and I am confident that it will not break while carrying it.I have received this product at a discounted price or free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the product. Very nice jar. Large enough for my needs, making my first batch of Kombucha. The quality of the jar is also very good in my book. And it was delivered on time and packaged securely. I now own two. Thank you very much for a good product and a great price.
