The ASTRO A40 TR Headset and MixAmp™ M80 is designed to provide Xbox One gamers with total control over their gaming audio experience. Able to adapt to any environment, the A40 TR arrives as an open-back headset featuring a swappable boom mic and customizable Speaker Tags. For loud environments one can transform the A40 TR to a closed-back noise-isolating headset by adding a Mod Kit (sold separately). The MixAmp™ M80 mounts directly onto the Xbox One Controller, putting all critical audio controls at the gamer's fingertips – master volume, Game:Voice Balance, mute and EQ control. The MixAmp™ M80 is wireless to the Xbox One.

**Q: There is conflicting information here.  does this fit and work with the series x elite 2 version if you use the paddles also?**
A: I use the mix amp with an elite 2 controller with all the paddles equipped. Hope that helps

**Q: Does your game audio go through the headset?**
A: Yes it does. Sometimes though you have to unplug it from the controller and plug it back in to get it to work.

**Q: Does the mic come out of the headset?**
A: Yeah, you can pull it off easily.  I use them as regular headphones all the time.

**Q: so by plugging the headset only into the controller  i hear both chat AND game volume?  how is that possible without any connections to the tv?**
A: It comes thru the xbox. It gets all the data thru the hdmi
