Q: Is it difficult to read the clock from a side angle, given that the rim is higher than the face?

I have had no issues reading the clock from any angle. I really like the clock.

Q: Is the orange actually neon?

I took a poll among my kids, and it was unanimous. The orange is neon. Not an obnoxious neon but a neon none the less.

Q: Can I keep this in the bathroom?

hmmm, maybe with one of the waterproof laundry type markers...it is just plastic and smooth. a warning..i set my clock up maybe mid april...stopped working already a bout one month ago... good luck Teach..
