Does What It Claims to Do At a Very Attractive Price
My first time manually grinding coffee, so I perhaps was unprepared for the manual effort, but it's actually kind of a zen thing standing by the kitchen window looking out at the woods and hearing the pleasant and quiet (much more so than any electric I've ever used) crunch of my coffee beans being ground. Just don't try to grind a whole pound of coffee beans in a hurry :-) Uniformity of the beans is excellent. I'm still getting down to the right grind for my new Aeropress. The adjustment wheel only needs to be let out just a few turns to get a fine grind. Construction appears to be quite good. The taper on the grinding shaft at the top makes the grinding handle fit snugly and securely, but it also comes off with just a wiggle to loosen it. The adjustment wheel at the bottom of the shaft is hard plastic and easy to adjust. The cleaning brush, stainless steel measuring spoon and soft cloth storage bag are very nice pluses. All in all, after using this grinder for a few days, I am quite happy with it and see it as a great value.

Really great hand powered coffee grinder
This grinder is a gem. I nowhave the choice to use my beans either finely ground express style or Frenchpress course as suites my whim. This grinder is just the right size to hold inmy hand easily and the handle is the right size to make for effortless work. Ittakes about 5 minutes to grind a 1/2 cup of ground coffee bean to make a 20 ozcup of morning coffee in the press.09/05/17Figured I add a use review. I took the grinder on a 24 day ride on my motorcycle and used it daily. I worked perfect and allowed me to make French Press coffee whenever and where ever I wanted. all the parts are still very tight and the grinder is still consistant in the grind size.

So far so good!
So far, I love this manual grinder. Part of the reason I wanted to get this grinder over the electric grinder that my roommate has is that the shells of the coffee beans often go everywhere with the electric burr grinder. With the manual grinder, I don't have that problem, and I haven't done a side by side comparison yet so it may be too soon to tell, but I really do think the coffee grinds taste better when it's done by hand. My recommendation would be to not put it on the most fine setting, you'll get an arm workout just trying to get one cup of coffee. I switched to a slightly more coarse grind and found that it works a lot better. Great product for the price -- high quality build!

Great product, but the string of travel bag was already broken when I received the package and opened the box!!
I ordered this to use while grinding beans for car camping trips. I haven't used it yet, but it seems like great quality, especially in comparison to the prices of other grinders. When I opened the box, the string on the travel bag was already broken! I was pretty bummed to see that it wouldn't close as securely during rigorous travel as I'd hoped. Was a bit concerning to see that the string was already broken and they didn't catch that before sending the product.... Not sure the detailed examination they give to their products before sending out.I will be using it in a couple of days, so I'll keep you posted on it's grinding effectiveness!

Great Grinder
I bought this grinder for my French Press. I really like the course grind I get & there is virtually no "sludge" at the bottom of my cup which was very important to me. I'm traveling this summer & I will be taking it with me. Nice & compact & easy to use. I read where another person said there were too many parts. I don't agree. It's a simple straightforward process with minimum cleanup. I would recommend this grinder to anyone who wants a really great cup of coffee.

Perfect for my low-energy sailboat!
Used it for the first time this morning. I was very pleased for several reasons. One, it easily held the amount of coffee beans I use in my 1 liter French Press. I like my coffee strong, and I was wondering if a single grind would do it. It did! Very pleased! Two, it was elegant and self-explanatory. Three, the grind was adjustable. Here's the best part for me: I gave up my electric grinder when I moved onto my sailboat. The boat is designed for self-sufficiency with solar panels and a (mostly) 12-volt system. I've been buying pre-ground coffee for the last year. Today I once again enjoyed freshly ground taste! Nothing like it.

This grinder is fantastic. I love the little bag it comes in ...
"I travel a lot for work and often am faced with the dreaded k-cups everywhere I go. I decided to get a portable grinder to take on the road so I can make a fresh brewed cup with a melita filter each morning. This grinder is fantastic. I love the little bag it comes in with the convenient brush and scoop to measure the beans and also crimp closed the coffee bag. Love it! "

Just what we wanted..
Bought this for my husband since he is the coffee drinker in the family. We looked at purchasing several different types of grinders, but settled on the Katevic based on the reviews and it's convenient size and stainless body. Even though, we just got it last week and he doesn't use his French press every day, he loves the way it grinds and the fact that he can adjust the grinder.
